Set on 40 acres of pristine land near Kurrajong, in the Hawkesbury area, we are tucked away in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. This is the perfect place for anyone looking to relax in the peace and tranquillity of the rainforest, listening to the birds and the running water of the creek. Take a walk to enjoy the natural beauty of the wild, bushland that abounds, sip fine wine picked up on your day’s travel into the valley or sit by the open fire listening to your favourite music; do as much or as little as you like. THE COTTAGE: Magnolia Cottage, named after the glorious Magnolia tree beside it, is a traditional settler-style log cabin with two bedrooms (a queen and a twin). Fresh linen and towels are provided and the beds have electric blankets. There's a basic kitchenette and private BBQ to cater for a simple meals. The cottage boasts open fire and air-conditioning/heating as well as a double bath with jets. Looking out over your vast front yard of an acre or more you can see the birds flit across the sun bathed lawn. A stream passes by the cabin and the sounds of the small waterfalls are heard throughout the valley. THE PROPERTY: Magnolia Cottage is one of five secluded, private, self-contained rustic cabins, each in their own separate area of forest on the property. They are available individually or as a group for up to 24 people. A tennis court is available for use up at the main house. Pets welcome by arrangement. SIGHTS: Nearby attractions include the beautiful botanical gardens of Mt Tomah, quaint Kurrajong village, Richmond markets and the historic Windsor all within 10 to 30 mins drive and well worth a visit. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the beautiful Magnolia Cottage, hosted by Mike and Fiona. Cabin was full of rustic charm, and surprisingly well insulated through the colder nights. Our dog probably had the best time exploring the property and jumping in the creek, and the kids loved running around and collecting firewood. No TV (although there was one we didn't use it!) or internet but some signal for our Telstra mobile when we needed it. We had a great bbq and ate outside on our last night. Within the first hour of our arrival we were birdwatching (there are so many beautiful birds here) & enjoying all the gorgeous surrounds of the Valley and the bush. We spent the evenings in front of an open fire and the days exploring the Valley. From booking to walking through the Cottage door Fiona & Mike made us feel very welcome and we appreciated their visit to check in on our arrival. Jun 18, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### A wonderful Retreat The booking process was quite easy, Fiona who owns Magnolia Cottage was very accommodating and was a delight to communicate with both via email and phone. The location was very nice and peaceful, actually getting to the destination was a little curly as the road was a dirt road, but this is to be expected given the location. The Cottage was very clean, the grass was nicely mowed and is a wonderful place for a quite getaway, especially if you dont want to be disturbed as not much mobile phone coverage. Lovely fireplace, Double spa, electric blnkets and aircon, big Verandah with outdoor furniture to sit on, bbq, fire pit! A lovely place to take your pet to as well, our dog enjoyed running outside and at night enjoyed sitting on his bed in front of the fireplace! ##### Tabatha L.
