Great Hotel in Sydney CBD

Posted 27-Jun-2017
Pros: Very nice place to stay away from home.
Attended a conference at the Hilton which is an annual event. Great place to stay and have a conference. In the centre of Sydney's CBD district. Extremely convenient to get to from both International and Domestic airports - just take the underground train from the airport and get off at Town Hall on the loop around the city. Only takes 20 minutes and just walk across the street to the hotel once you get out of the station. The hotel is spacious and modern. Great buffet breakfast. Rooms very well appointed, modern and quiet. The hotel is close to most attractions in the city.

Great location - quality hotel

Posted 26-Jun-2017
Pros: Good facilities in rooms Excellent breakfast buffet
Cons: Lot of lift noise in the bedroom if close to the lifts. Wifi expensive Beware automatic minibar
Location: Shopping sightseeing all within reasonable distance
Travelled for Business weekend in Sydney - meetings at this hotel. Good location for sightseeing or shopping in central Sydney. Directly opposite the beautiful Queen Victoria Building and close to train and bus stations for transport. Relatively easy Walking distance to Darling Harbour, circular Quay. Rooms well furnished and equipped. Liked the travel adaptor plug available in room. Lot of lift noise apparent - and I was not that close to the lifts.

pleased but could improve

Posted 14-May-2017
Pros: excellent atmosphere
Location: close to pitt street mall and westfield tower and across the road to town hall station and qv building
Top hotel but staff should ask for a response and wait longer for a response hotel should not enter when do not disturb light is active wether cleaning or what have you and notify occupant's first most disappointing of all is the fact that there is no sink I have stayed in a 3 star hotel at the travel lodge and it had a sink simple room but sink none of the less it is foul that the occupant's are expected to use the sink they wash there hands in after using the toilet and brush there teeth in and spit in sinks should be installed regardless of the standard of the room and lamp in room was faulty and making a buzzing sound on floor 27 room 15 and should repaired or replaced immediately and a antibacterial soap dispenser should put in the bathrooms and bin bags in the bins and bin in the kitchenette area under the future sink as well as a bath mat after using either the bath or the shower and the shower door altered with better water retention and more tubes of body soap apart from all of this an excellent stay for the hotel and the price of the package through expedia and much recommended to anyone. Thank you.

Hard to find, overpriced

Posted 11-May-2017
Pros: Central location
Cons: Signage above all.
Location: In the central business district, so plenty of attractions nearby
Had difficulty finding the hotel using GPS. Turns out the street it is on has been closed for construction for two years. Asked a cabby who showed me where it is. Entrance is off Pittt Street and is indicated by a sign in 6 inch letters, placed one foot off the ground and (with the traffic) can only be seen after you've passed it. Valet parking was $79 per night, self-parking was over $50 per night. In neighbourhood bars and restaurants, beer was $7 and up. At the Hilton, it was $11 and up. I cannot see why the price is so high. Room was of the standard concrete box type.

Great hotel close to the action

Posted 7-May-2017
The Hilton is a fantastic hotel if you are looking for some luxury. It is very close to all the action i.e. shopping, darling harbour and the train station is on your doorstep.

Can't believe it's 5 Stas Hotel

Posted 6-May-2017
The most important thing nowadays when you away from home is to be "connected to the world". Didn't happen to me this time. Yes, I am talking about the Internet connection. Called consierge to report the problem. But instead of taking the ownership of the problem and rectify it for me, I was transferred to the internet provider, where I spent long time on hold and then was talking with absolutely hopeless though very polite rep, who didn't do it for me! In the end I had to use my own dongle! This is not on!
