very old place and not clean at all, TV doesnt work, exhaust fan couldnt turn it off - buzzing all night, the mattress worn out - no windows or any natural day light to come in the room -.-

Despite booking an inward facing room, we were still provided with views of the harbour. The hotel itself was fine, if a little outdated in decor.

My room was small, but all I needed with a great view. Staff was lovely and helpful. The hotel was very clean. Convenient to all kinds of restaurants and shopping. I used public transportation, which was easy!

Really loved the neighborhood. Considering the low price this is very reasonable and safe accommodation. It’s not the ritz but it’s nice to have a private room that’s clean and close to shopping and restaurants!

The room was musty,wet smell wich stunk,the balcony was dirty floor not washed spit on concrete floor & dirty ,showers could be updated,no car parking have to pay for a car park overnight wich was a mile from the motel& costly,i bribed the attendant with cash sale cheaper but the ticket he gave me to exit the next morning it didn't work & was stuck for hrs waiting for another attendant. I would go somewhere else

I've stayed at the DeVere Hotel a few times now and have enjoyed the clean, well-maintained rooms, proximity to fine dining, and easy access to the city. It's also great value for money. I recently invited a friend to stay and they will now stay at the DeVere Hotel when they visit Sydney.

We were on the 4th floor. Hot water a bit hit and miss. The rooms were dated and looked very tired. TV was pixelating.

Lovely and central, comfortable, staff helpful. Hotel a bit tired and shabby but ac worked and shower was great. We had a small room.witj sink and fridge kettle etc but no way if washing the cups etc. Great to have a dish mop, bench wipe etc

The hotel is just ok. They do not have housekeeping service for short stay. Only if you stay for 7 nights the housekeeping is done. The only plus is that the property is close to some amazing restaurants and places.

I love the location busy area but inside the hotel it was quiet. Its close to the bus and train. Alot of great restaurants and shops. Didnt like that for a week there was only 1 room clean. I liked my own bathroom.

The Hotel is fairly old, but pretty well maintained. The floor plan is a little weird - from my room on floor 1, I had go up stairs and down a hall to go down 2 flights of stairs to get to the lobby. Elevator was often delayed for staff cleaning rooms. I enjoyed the Potts Point area. I was able to walk to the Opera house a couple of times - it was about 40 minutes each way. The price was very reasonable.

The Hotel is very old and urgently needs facility upgrade. I will not book this hotel again. Good: -the hotel staff are so friendly and responsive. Problems encountered: -the lock of the windows don't work. Could easily be opened in case of forcible entry. -the toilet bowl has stains--perhaps rust?--that look gross. The drain of the bathroom floor was haphazardly sealed using a paper tape, a paper tape! -the room is poorly lit, adds to the eerie feel inside the room. -the old air-conditioning unit is too loud and disruptive -the hotel corridors smell and are poorly lit. The old carpets reek of mouldy smell
