"The hotel is wonderfully located in a beautiful old building.
The bar area is very comfortably and the rooms are nice and bright, having had a refurb in the recent past.
The staff are hit and miss, some are absolutely lovely, caring and helpful, others treat you like you’re in the way, which is a shame.
The rooms have an iron and ironing board, kettle and basic toiletries."

"We travelled as a family of 4 (including a tween and a teen). Our room had 2 king sized beds, a desk and a sitting area, which gave us plenty of room to sleep and hang out between activities. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed, with a nice walk-in shower and towel warmer. I was pleased to find an iron and hair dryer in good condition, as well as a nice selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We used the gym, which was also clean and had a good selection of equipment. The buffet breakfast in the morning had a decent selection, including gluten- and dairy-free options for me. The staff was friendly and helpful hotel-wide. The distance from the town centre is also perfect for walking to and from the hotel. We’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area!"
