"Our third time here and it's age is starting to show. Room was fine except for a mild musty smell from the A.C. unit. Decks need some attention as well as the handrails. We skipped their breakfast in favor of the fine local restaurants. Pleanty to see and do or not. Pretty part of the state."

"Clean room except the seating the recliner was very used and had soil spots the desk chair had white spots and a very used cushion on it one of the drawers handles was bent and unusable, like the bath tub some things were not working properly like the air unit would make the lights surge as you turn on the fan and the air conditioning was slow to come on, had them check the toilet seat it was very loose when we arrived, house keeping did a good in fixing our room up. I didn’t see a gym or pool, no elevator to carry luggage to the second floor, you could hear your neighbor and their television, the continental breakfast could be little better it was only waffles,toast, muffins cereal and juice would have loved eggs and bacon or sausage, the receptionist could use a little more personality in greeting guess, perhaps a smile and a greeting of hello, maybe she was tired we all go through something. I stayed due to the convenience of where the hotel was located . The walk way to the hotel was very pretty due to the flowers. One gentleman held the door for us and greeted us which was very nice! The road next to the hotel needs desperate repair I was scared I could get a flat. We had to redo our key after leaving and coming back to the room my daughter had to use the restroom and it was a inconvenience to go all the way down stairs again and o reset our key. It was our first time in Norton Shores and I know we will come back and visit Muskegon again."

"You’ll notice a distinct scent upon arrival, but the accommodations make up for it. We had a suite that appeared to be two newly renovated rooms combined, providing great extra space. Excellent value for the price"

"Michillinda Lodge is a historic resort - not lavish, but clean and beautiful. Several outdoor amenities such as a tennis/pickleball court and a swimming pool are provided. The property sits atop a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan and provides access to a small beach. The staff is friendly and skilled. Our stay was relaxing and surrounded with beauty."

"Overall, the hotel was fine for what we paid. It’s definitely dated and a little worn in places, but our room was clean, the sheets were clean, and the AC worked well. The staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We didn’t have any major issues. If you’re looking for something modern or upscale, this probably isn’t it, but if you just need an inexpensive, clean place to stay with friendly service, it does the job."

"Guests were polite, kind, and easy to work related to checking in. The cottage is cute and relatively quite. The grill was clean, compared to other properties I have rented. The location is great for hiking and watching the sunsets on Lake Michigan. Overall good experience!"

"It seemed like an older property that the up keep is hard on. They are doing a great job on a difficult project. The staff was great, parking was very convenient. Price was pretty high for my perceived value. In Marriot's defense, most properties in the area were for this weekend."
