The Old School has been tastefully converted and is situated on a working farm within walking distance to all three of Rhossili’s bays. The cottage is on two levels and sleeps 2/3\. It has a double room upstairs with built in wardrobes and drawers a sofa bed in the living room. All bed linen is provided. The kitchen/diner is fully fitted and contains a washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven/hob, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The floors are finished in natural stone. The lounge has a sofa bed and occasional furniture. There is a tv with Freeview and a CD/DVD player. The cottage benefits from oil fired central heating throughout but also has a log burner. The bathroom contains a shower cubicle and basin with a separate toilet downstairs which has an electric shaver point over the basin. Towels for use in the cottage are provided. Cot and high chairs are available if required. There is also a patio area with table and chairs for those who enjoy alfresco dining. The closest beach is 5-10 minutes walk. The nearest restaurant/licensed premises is also 10 minutes walk. The nearest shop is only a short car journey away. The house is well furnished and equipped with everything you could need, and the location is excellent. Fall Bay and Mewslade Bay beaches are only a 10–15 minute walk away, and there is a bus stop outside the house with buses running every hour (except on Sundays), so you can easily explore the many footpaths across Gower, as well as the scenic coastal path. The hosts were very welcoming, and we were delighted to find a selection of fine local produce waiting for us on arrival! ##### Henriette S. Mar 1, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### No return for us Although a little lovely cottage, close to the sea, found most local pubs all had different eating times or the kitchen was closed, so ended up with sandwiches back at home, lanes were flooded giving even more problem to access, I just think it was the wrong season February to go, i am sure it is lovely and the places serve food in the spring/summer. I do not agree for a 3 night stay of not being able to access the property until 4pm and have to leave at 10 this cuts out a whole day from a 5 hour drive. So would not book again.
