Property is well locateds and fairly well maintained. It is limited in terms of staff and service therefore they are counting on you to be more self sufficient. Think about this place as if you rented a property and not necessarily an hotel. Restaurant has good food and drinks but open only Fridays and Saturdays.

It was a lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Only problem was that staff was not full time and it was difficult to resolve financial issues, although they were finally resolved. It was difficult to communicate by email but this was eventually worked out. Still, a very enjoyable stay.

Reasonably close to Sutton Village. Never saw any person from staff. Sandwich board in lobby said sorry we missed you. It was there the next morning. Key in envelope. No instructions or invitation to understand amenities. Had to call number on website to get wifi code.

Mediocre
Outdoor heated pool and sauna were very nice to use freely. My room was the single one and there were some issues with the portable AC unit leaking. I was there for 3 nights and they only came yo fix before the last night. No offer to change me rooms, just to get myself some extra towels and soak it up. We arrived at 5:30pm and no one is there to greet us, just grab your key from the mailbox. Staff is there supposedly during the day but I was out all day so didn’t see any of them. Bed mattress was comfy.

If you’re looking for a great mountainside ski town feel, this hotel in Sutton has it. Friendly staff. Loved the hot tub and sauna and pool. Family friendly. Large IGA supermarket and many local cafes a short drive away. 12 km to US border. Charming place. We’ll be back!

Very overpriced, in my opinion. The room was very small. I misunderstood the listing and was expecting a kitchen, so I was very disappointed to discover our room had a microwave, a toaster oven and a bar fridge. No one came to collect the dishes, although that was promised in the book in the room. On the positive side, the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful and the pool and hot tub were nice.

Beautiful grounds, very well kept. Swimming pool and hot tub immaculate and surrounding patio area excellent. Rooms are very clean and every detail is looked after including all your kitchen needs, dishes, cutlery, microwave, induction burner, fridge. Everything is newly decorated and color coordinated. Highly recommended.

We are sorry about that, it is extremely humid this year, we never had this problem before this year, and there is unfortunately nothing we can do but place a towel under it.

The room was in a semi basement. The BBQs were dirty. We went sometimes to get some information at the reception and nobody was there. I don't recommend it.

Hi, we are sorry it wasn't up to your expectation. We count on customers to clean the BBQ they used when they are done, as it's a pretty basic concept, we are sorry they didn't do it, and we didn't get to check them up in time for you to use them. As for the reception, we are extremely short staffed, so our opening hours are shorter and sometimes we have to jump on cleaning duties as we are alone most of the time, and we have a lot of extra tasks that are not reception-related. I remember asking you if everything was fine at check-out and you told me yes. Anyway, thanks for your comments, we always try to give our best and get better !

Beautiful property , no indoor pool unfortunately, thoughtit was mostly winter getaway.Was unhappy with availability of front desk ,mostly nowhere to be found , called front desk a couple of times , ( toilet water continuously running , looking for our breakfast , )never received a call back . Will find another place to stay if we visit Sutton again

Great place to unwind.

Our room was sparkling clean, and it had mugs, wine glasses, plates and cutlery which was a bonus. There was a little fridge and a toaster oven as well. The beds were super comfortable as were the pillows. The outdoor pool was very much appreciated after a very hot day of hiking. An added bonus was the electric plug in for our car that was free of charge. The people who checked us in were very pleasant and helpful with suggestions about local restaurants etc. We would definitely come back to this cute place again.

Nice pool area, surrounding terrain, bbq availability, nice get-together benches all around. Room substandard, poor soundproofing (hearing the upstairs guests walking after midnight. Squeaking beds, deformed mattresses. Noisy air conditioner.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Montagnard in past year. We had a standard room which was very small and the bed was not comfortable. The location was great and staff friendly. I would not recommend the standard room if you are staying for more than one night. We stayed in a studio the last time and it was much more comfortable.

Perfect stay in Sutton!
La Montagne is a perfect choice in the Sutton area. Great location, less than 5 minutes to the cute downtown of Sutton’s shops and restaurants. Very clean rooms and nice kitchen. They called to inform us of an upgrade due to overbooking of the room we booked, good communication. Wish we could have stayed one more day to enjoy more! Nice garden area, bbq, and pool area. Definitely recommend.
