Enjoyed the night we were kept very warm on a cold night, was a great place to stop for the night on our drive from the GC to Melbourne. Pet friendly was awesome too.
We stayed here for one night with my husband and our dog. This place is like out of a movie scene, absolutely amazing! We were met by friendly staff, explored, loved the sunset, dinner at the local bar, there was breakfast included and the peace and quiet was umatched.

Great option for myself and two dogs. Cottage with small backyard meant I could safely let the dogs out when required. Being on a farm also allowed for expansive walks with the dogs. Excellent charm, great character in the historic cottages. Staff were helpful and welcoming.
The views from the property were great. The studio was disappointing. The floors were dirty upon arrival, the curtains were filthy and torn. The single chair in the living was torn and in disrepair. There was no water in the small Kitchen area so you were carrying water from thhe bathroom. There wasn't enough tea bags.
Loved our stay. Hospitality fantastic. Rough around the edges but that's what made it great. If you're looking for something rustic in the Southern Highlands - this is a fantastic choice.
Outstanding views and grounds surrounding the property. Old country charm with hot showers and warm cosy beds to keep you warm on those chilly highland nights.
We had a few hicaps at checkin. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly. We had essentials missing from the room.
But other then that, it would have been a great stay.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The place did feel “well worn” and could do with a bit of maintenance. Little details made the stay slightly less than perfect: only two of four beds had working electric blankets, the old couches and wobbly chairs weren’t very comfortable, matches but no firestarters provided to light the wood fire. Otherwise it was great. Wonderful location, grounds and sculpture garden. Helpful staff. Roomy, clean, comfortable beds, well heated and cozy, great hot bath and shower.
Owner rang to find out about our arrival times, very personable. Delightful ambience retainied, wonderfully quiet.
Was very tempted to stay on. Will return for a longer retreat.

This place is an awful place. I prepaid for a cottage and Damien gave the cottage away to someone else. He did not have the courtesy to call us and let us know; he just told us when we turned up in the early evening. He then became aggressive when we did not accept his decision. We agreed to leave and Damien undertook to pay the money back after we gave him all the details. We had to go back to last minute and get them to help. We still have not received the monies back.
Very pleasant heritage cottages in a rural setting. Sculptures add to the rural setting.

Disliked: Staff & service
Facilities not at a good standard. Very tired.
No ironing board or iron!
A shower head that would not stay in place
Breakfast supplies totally inadequate
Very rustic and beautifully peaceful with cows in the meadow, high on the hill with a great view. Steeped in history and lots of space.
My partner found the lack of kitchen facilities and a washing basin in the kitchenet a problem.
Service from owner was wonderful and warm days helped.
Had a fabulous charm and a lovely relaxing atmosphere and was very relaxing
Especially good that we were able to bring our dog that had its own little yard st the rear of the cottage
The rooms we had were beautifully restored, spacious, full of light, with views over the surrounding countryside, and a long verandah that got the morning sun
Perched on top of a hill this beautifully located property has extensive views with unique artworks and heritage features dotting the surrounding lawns
