"I found the Holiday Inn (Cloverdale) provided great value for the dollars spent. Room was clean, the facility was kept very tidy, the lobby was appealing, staff were helpful and friendly, and the restaurant and its staff were great. Access to major roadways was very quick."

"I have stayed at this hotel several times to break up my travel between Washington & Vancouver Island. It has always been clean but somewhat outdated.
HOWEVER, yesterday I arrived and noticed the main floor hallway was torn up due a flood. It worried me when I was given a room on the main floor. But much to my delight, the room was newly renovated! It was gorgeous! Laminate wood flooring instead of the usual hotel carpets, gorgeous accent wall behind the bed, fresh painmt, baseboards, etc. And spotlessly clean. I was thrilled.
The man at the front desk upon my evening check-in was courteous and prompt. When I needed a wine cork screw an hour later he happily provided one.
Upon check out the next morning a different man was equally as polite and apologized for the construction despite me voicing that I was thoroughly impressed with the updated rooms.
My only slight complaint would be that construction workers started around 9am and were very loud, so anyone planning to sleep in past 9 may be disrupted. The man at the front desk told me the renos should be completed within the next 2 weeks however.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone passing through Surrey and looking for a clean & safe place to spend the night "
