I enjoyed my stay here. The bus from the airport will literally drop you right at the front of the guest house and there is a train station to London about a 10 minute walk away. Yes...the room did have some signs of being on the "old" side. But I don't go on vacation in order to sit in a room so I'd much rather stay in a place like this rather than a really fancy place where you'd be spending an arm and a leg for a room. The breakfast was very nice. I did have one minor complaint, though. Expedia claims the front desk is available 24 hours a day. I learned firsthand that this is not true. My flight landed early and I got to the guest house around 6:45 AM. I wanted to just drop my bag off so I could go sightseeing. But no one was answering the bell. I kept trying and still nothing. Before long 45 minutes had passed. It was dark and cold and it was a bit worrying because I didn't know how long I'd have to wait. I ultimately took a walk to kill time. By the time I returned at around 7:45 AM, someone was actually there at the front desk. Again, not too big of a deal in the end but it would have been better if someone was there and 6:45 AM is not exactly in the middle of the night either so someone should have been there.

Clean, comfortable and convenient
We arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but we had clear instructions on where to find the keys and which room we were in. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We ordered an uber to take my son to the airport which was 5 minutes away. Breafast was nice and the owners were very pleasant. Would definitely stay here again if we flew from Gatwick. Definitely recommend it.

Very convenient location.
This hotel is very conveniently located close to Gatwick Airport. We arrived quite late but the hotel manager was very welcoming and gave us some good advice on how to get to the airport the following day in the early morning.

Perfect Location
Perfrct Location for overnight stay for Gatwick Airport. 100 Bus to Airport stops right outside Hotel 5 minute walk to Horley where there are some good restaurants and Bars. Hotel is lovely. Nice perfect room. Soft Bed and great shower.

Our stay was adequate - reasonably comfortable beds, clean towels and bedding, and our hostess was most considerate. Also, parking was available. The place has a bit of a down at heel feel to it - noisy neighbours especially in the room above us, taps and carpets need to be updated. Price is competitive. If we need to stay near Gatwick again, we will probably look for somewhere else, but would not be averse to staying here.

Bathroom sink tap loose, dirt around radiant, front room - traffic noise til midnight. Breakfast was only a continental. Good pub, ye Olde Six Bells, 4 blocks away. Foresters in other direction good.

I just stay few hours in night. The property is very old house. The carpet in noom looks dirty. Flush was not working properly. The shower is so small hard to stand in there. I got room on second floor and no elevator. You have to use stairs, not safe with luggage. Only thing I like is bus stop just in front of the guest house. Bus 10 and 100 goes to London Gatwick directly which cost only 2 pounds. I don’t recommend to stay here.

Great location; spacious unit
Wonderful location close to bus stop for bus to Gatwick. I stayed in a unit in the back of the main house which was wonderful - spacious, etc and at ground level - no stairs! Had some problems with the keys/lock, but resolved with help of co-owner/manager.

This was a wonderful easy stay for flying in and out of Gatwick. Bus access took 6 mins from Gatwick and the room was quiet and comfortable and excellent. Real fast. Highly recommended!

All you really need
Perfect place for an overnight stay before leaving from Gatwick Airport or after arriving. My single room was clean, compact and had everything I needed, including ensuite bathroom, TV and hairdryer. Slept well and caught a local bus from right across the road to Gatwick airport in the morning. Seven minute ride. £2 fare.

Quiet and convenient
Good place to stay the night before an early flight. Easy walk from the station and plenty of local dinner options. A couple of issues with booking an airport shuttle which could have been resolved more effectively if the receptionist had communicated with us but all ok in the end.

Misinformation about shuttle service apparently because the hotel had not updated Expedia? Cost for a 5 minute taxi from the train was 17 lb. Cost of bus was 2 lb. for 7 minute ride. Had no idea where to board the local bus upon arrival. A phone conversation with the hotel was not helpful. The room was clean but very small. Value? But we're from Canada, eh.

Most of the places we saw were B&B's like this one unless you wanted to stay at an overpriced hotel by the airport. This was Ok for a 1 night stay. The breakfast was included and was good and came out quickly. The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. They don't have a shuttle to the airport but we took the bus which was right outside the place and was 2 pounds per person which had 1 local stop and the next stop was the south terminal. It literally was a 5 minute ride. They also have another bus to the north terminal was well. Don't take a cab. I think it was 16 pounds plus tip. Great Italian restaurant called Zeno's (I think that was the name) close by. One of the better meals I had in England.

This guest house is near to the train station and very close to a bus stop. It's sufficiently clean and the member of staff whom we met on duty was very pleasant informative and helpful. The gravelled yard of the property made it difficult to pull our suitcases. The glass shelf in the room we used made it extremely difficult to use the sink,one had to exercise extra caution to prevent injury to one's face

Close to the airport, convient for early morning flights and bus stop right in front of the hotel. Bed and duvet were quite short, can be bit uncomfortable for someone above average height. Kettle in the room to make tea or coffee but for some reason only decaf coffee provided.

Freezing cold
Had a terrible experience, the room was freezing cold and apparently their central heating is switched off after 11 pm till 4 am. We could not sleep the entire night, will never book this again, better to avoid.

This property is a very large house with several rooms available. I had a single room which was small but had a chaise lounge for comfortable seating, a dedicated work space and a comfortable bed! Transportation was right outside the door and one could easily walk to shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful owners. Very good value.

We chose this property for its convenience to Gatwick. Nothing fancy, but adequate for our needs. Room was a bit warm due to heat of the day. Best part was the English breakfast.
