A clean, comfortable & pleasant place for a night close to Gatwick airport. What I didn’t like was the musty smell of the towels and the absence of any mattress cover. The well used mattress was visible through the thin sheet. I had an extra towel and placed that between the mattress and the sheet to provide a layer between me and the mattress.

The front area of tge property was piled with loose dirt & mud. Very inconvenient for walking up to the front entrance. Loud noise in the middle of the night.

Great place for a night's stay before a super early flight from Gatwick. Spotlessly clean. Room recently renovated. Good communication and flexibility from the host.

Gainsborough Lodge has been refurbished, clean and an efficient entry service. Rooms are clean and tidy, comfy beds, hot showers with tea & coffee making facilities. Just needed a spoon! Perfect for the airport, not far to walk to shops and restaurants and the station, which takes you into the airport. Recommend this hotel for sure.

It was supposed to be a B & B altho there was no food,rooms really need updating too,it was clean and bed was comfy,l wouldmaybe go somewhere else next time.

It’s a well kept property close to Gatwick Airport seems very popular with guests. Staff was extremely helpful to make my stay comfortable as I had missed the connecting flight to Malaga, Spain. Specially Mr Kringle and Mr Chirag who not only tried his best to get me flt connection on the following but dropped me at the airport in his personal car. This courteous attitude of Chirag goes much beyond his duty and I thank him for that. Partap Narula, Calgary, Canada

The hotel is close to Gatwick airport (the terminal is only a mile away via a riverside garden walk). My room was small but had everything I needed (apart from a hairdryer)

Felt very itchy on hand and back at night and turned the night on and found a black bug on the comforter and killed it and it had blood. One of my hand was swollen because of the bite. When mentioning to the staff all he said was they did not have bedbugs.

The staff were friendly and helpful with local information. The property was located in a good location, near to the village and transportation. The village of Horley is clean, full of local shops, and several good restaurants. Its nearness to Gatwick, is a real plus.

Arrived at 10pm to be informed by a scantily dressed man that my room supposedly had a leak and I would have to stay at another hotel located about a mile away. I was told not to drive there and that i would be taken there by shuttle. Both hotels had repairs going on which had the appearance of being a permanent feature, the first one also looked like a boarding house from the early 70's. Not recommended.

Perfect for pre-flight from LGW
A short 2.2km walk from Gatwick. Path marked but rough in parts so be aware if you have a trolley suitcase. Plain room but clean. Relatively quiet for being so close to the airport. Shops nearby in Horley to get food and several Pubs and takeaway meal options.

I dont know what that was I just stayed in ! haha
Total hodgepodge of a hotel/ b+b? I dont know even quite what to call it but it somehow had ok amenities and the bedding was brand new. Just the overall aesthetic to the place made me feel like it had just gone up in 24 hours or less lol. I tell you though the best part of staying here is the nice 10 minute wooded walk to and from Gatwick Airport. It truly was a delight. Little ponds, horses and great way to start my day on a long flight home. Its fine for a place close to the airport, just dont expect it to look good.

What I expected - clean, basic accommodation. Being an older building the stairs are narrow which could make hauling suitcases a bit difficult. As in many similar B&Bs the plumbing was new and the corner shower stall small.

It was clean and quiet and the manager was very open to changing our room as I booked twin beds in error. Very convenient location and all we needed for a night. They’re renovating and improving but super considerate 🙏😁I would stay again.

A unique place to stay. Small rooms but comfortable. Has recently undergone Reno's, but carpets not yet replaced in rooms. Close to restaurants. Host is very helpful. No elevators, stairs a little steep. Construction to be completed within a few weeks but did not affect our stay.

Close to the airport with bus stop right outside cntre and station añso not too far.some noises but generally quiet location. Bedroom good size with comfy beds, bathroom on smaller side eurh quite low pressure.

good value
Good value for money. The room was spacious and in good condition, and the breakfast was also good for the price. Only criticism is that there was no decaf hot drinks, and no wholemeal bread (also no alternative milk, like oat or soya).
