Under a 5 min. walk to the beach access. Don’t like walking? At Coastal Distancing, we have bikes that will get you there in 1 min. Nature lover? Head to the back. You’ll enjoy vivid sunsets over the marshlands where birds, deer, and other wildlife live. The island is a sea turtle habitat as well. Some lucky guests have even seen them hatch! Ocean fiend? Head to the front. Enjoy the glittering views of the soothing Atlantic. 2 Public Beach Accesses: It’s only a 3-5 min. walk to either one of the Neptune Ave. public accesses. To make your coastal commute even shorter, take advantage of the bikes we have to get you there in 1 minute! Forgot your beach chair? We provide plenty of chairs for your use. You’ll have all day to explore the 9 miles of oceanfront that Holden has to offer. The House: \- - - - All bed linens and bath towels will be provided, included in the cleaning fee. - - - - We are Kid/Baby Friendly: There’s a pack-n-play for baby, a high chair, two stair gates, and plenty of sippy cups/plates/utensils for your littles. We have a small, portable potty as well because we want your toddler to swim...just not in the toilet! There are also plenty of board games/cards available to make rainy days or late nights more enjoyable! Rainy day? We've got you covered in the expansive garage with fun for hours including a ping pong table, dartboard, bikes, cornhole, and of course an extra full-sized refrigerator. Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1, Floor 1: Welcome to the Coral Reef Room! Enjoy ocean views with a comfy king sized bed and plenty of storage. 32" Smart TV Upstairs Bedroom 2: Gone Fishin' Room - Brand new queen bed. Private front deck with an ocean view and large dresser + closet. 32" Smart TV. Upstairs Bedroom 3: Sailing Away Room - Private back deck overlooking the lush backyard. Catch deer in the mornings or the lights of the boats coming in at night. All new twin-over-twin bunk bed and a queen-sized bed. 32' Smart TV. Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms, one on each level. One has a tub-shower combo, the other is a walk-in shower. Shampoo, conditioner, & body wash provided, along with hair dryers in both bathrooms. House wasn’t very clean. Windows were dirty and dust on fan blades, under furniture. Food crumbs in the living room cushions. Kitchen was well stocked and over all house was comfortable. Have been visiting Holden beach since 2006, however I don’t think I’ll go through Vrbo again. Rental agencies have better cleaning services. The kitchen was well stocked with just about any cooking items you might need, plus more. Lots of TVs and one room well-appointed for kids. The house was perfect for this. The balconies off of the upstairs bedrooms were loved by all who were in those rooms. The kitchen was well equipped for what we needed to cook and the eating area accommodated us all. We loved having access to bikes to ride and games/puzzles to enjoy anytime. I noticed that there were very few public beach access areas on the island but thankfully there was one within a short walking distance to the house, definitely a big plus. One of the favorites of everyone was watching the deer out back early morning and/or early evening. I communicated several times (before arriving at the house) with the owners and they always responded in a timely manner. I have no reservations about rating this as a great place to stay!!! ##### Wanda G. It was easy to get in touch with the hosts, the location was very close to the beach, and the property had many extra amenities that I did not see on many other listings. The indoor and outdoor space was perfect for our family of five and my parents who stayed with us for half of the week. It was easy to walk to the beach and the neighborhood was quiet. My kids enjoyed riding the bicycles provided. The grill, air conditioning, and washer/ dryer all worked without issue. The house is in a great location and provided everything we needed as a family of five! Did not like when we arrived there wasn’t a stitch of toilet paper in either bathroom. My friend stayed upstairs and she said there is black mold in bathroom above the tub. Scary.
