Enjoy 9 acres of privacy on Ocean Blvd West with 420 feet of stunning beach frontage in the West End gated community. This exceptional property has a large pool and decking with attractive fencing which assures total privacy. "Babington" is privately maintained and immaculately clean. All bed linens and bath towels are included throughout the year. All beds are freshly made upon your arrival so that guests can enjoy a stress-free vacation in this gorgeous home. This 5 bedroom, 4 bath home accommodates 11 guests. The first floor has 2 bedrooms with a king bed in the master bedroom and a double and twin bed in the second. The second floor has 3 bedrooms with a queen in the first, a queen in the second and a queen in the third. All upstairs bedrooms have an ocean view and an oceanfront porch with rockers. This home offers central heat and air, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, quick-chill refrigerator, additional large ice maker, high-speed internet, smart TV's in all bedrooms, smart TV in living room area with Apple TV, DVD player and surround sound speaker, upper and lower porches, enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water, fish cleaning station with hot water, covered grilling area with seating and covered parking. The private walkway to the beach has a sun deck, stargazing deck and multiple showers. The pool is nicely furnished with chairs, lounges, tables and umbrellas. Heated pool OPTIONAL for early spring and late fall with 48 hour notice. A separate 60 dollar daily fee will be charged. Pool heater not available Dec through February. If you choose to purchase pool heat we will turn it on prior to your arrival with the understanding that outdoor weather conditions greatly affect the pool water temperature. Pool heaters cannot operate if the temperature outside is under 50 degrees. Please message us if you would like the pool heated This is a NON-SMOKING home. Bedding: K, Double, Twin, Queen, Queen & Queen Parking Notes: Guests may park directly in front of the home. There is a covered parking area as well as parking in the driveway. NOTE: Parking on the street and/or sidewalks is strictly prohibited and may result in a violation ticket or towing. Our pool company, 4-Season's, comes by for routine pool cleaning/maintenance on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. They are quick and you probably won’t see them. Our linen company, Shallotte Cleaners, picks up/drops off our beach house laundry on Tuesdays & Fridays. You probably won't see them either. No one needs inside access to the house. The laundry is stored in a locked closet under the carport. We provide only enough toilet paper, trash bags and soap to get you through the first day or two. We loved the convenient boardwalk to the beach, to get out to watch the birds and look for shells. We especially appreciated the privacy and quiet provided by the expansive property. The Babington House is a beautiful home with everything we needed. It was clean and thoughtfully prepared for our stay. The upstairs porch offers sweeping views of the dunes and ocean for sunrises and sunsets and quiet moments in between. From the beginning of our planning until the end of our visit, Robert was responsive to all our questions and pleasant in all communications. The heated pool was an excellent cherry on top after a day on the beach. Because there are large empty lots on either side of the house, the house feels very private. From booking the house to the end of our family vacation, the process was straightforward and communication with Robert was the best. He responded immediately to every question we had. We even asked for a favor the during our stay and he graciously agreed even though it was more effort on his part. The home was just as described and every detail was was explained in writing so we knew exactly what to expect. The house was super clean and everything worked perfectly. The ice machine was very useful. Four full bathrooms made it really easy for all of us to clean-up after a day on the beach. Walking out the door and down the walkway to the private beach was super easy. The pool made it extra fun for the kids who were too young to spend all day at the beach. We enjoyed a special treat when a nest of sea turtles hatched and made their way down to the water. I am a stickler for clean rentals and this home exceeded my expectations. The linen service was wonderful as well. We didn't need to spend time making beds or locating any extras. The most important point I want to make... Robert was absolutely amazing at communication prior to, during and after our stay. He was so immediately responsive to any questions that I had which is an amazing quality these days. That fact alone was my highlight! The owners are top notch communicators and help with anything needed. We were in a bind due to storm that dropped two feet of rain and left us houseless for our vacation at our original booking in Bald Head Island. Within hours we were able to pivot and secure Babington and had a perfect rest of our vacation with friends from around the country ##### frank c. It was very helpful to have separate bathrooms and adequate spaces (beach, pool, upstairs and downstairs decks, and lower level parking) for alone time when needed. Perks like multiple coffee pots, an ice maker, a very-well stocked kitchen, multiple hoses for spraying off, and a fish-cleaning station were all very convenient. ##### Leslie P. You just can’t beat the privacy you get wit the Babington house. The pool is exceptional!!! Only issue we had was the downstairs master bathroom had an extra moldy shower curtain. I was very disappointed as the price paid for the week I think allowed us clean showers. Overall I’d say 8/10\. ##### Jessica T. The house was incredibly clean, with a very well-stocked kitchen! The ice machine was convenient added bonus. The pool and large deck were clean and a great place to end a day at the beach. The beach itself was near private thanks to the sprawling property the house is on. Even with the privacy, shops and restaurants are still less than 15 minutes away. We have switched up locations a few times based on our growing family needs. Babington was one of our favorites! Love the beach front location, plus pool!! Great porch to chill in the rocking chairs and watch the ocean. Some perks we enjoyed...ice maker, didn't realize how great it is to have!! Pool and Umbrellas! Outdoor shower! All beds have two pillows per sleeper ( as a pillow person, this is rare to find in a rental- pleasamt surprise). If you haven't stayed on this end of Holden, the house is less than a mile from the west/south end of the island....great for low tide!! You can walk around and explore a private island. A few of us got up to watch the sunrise, not very visible in the peak of summer, however we watched some deer frolic. Birds are very active. Saw a hawk have dinner:) Great moonrise from the end of the boardwalk! We will stay again The Babington's were great hosts! ##### NIchole D.
