Tree Houses of Montville

61-69 Kondalilla Falls Road, Flaxton - Map
"New owners"
Room wasn't what we expected from pictures. Very simple. Bit outdated. New owners unorganised. Expedia link didn't let us know the restaurant is closed and being renovated. Hotel is not near food places so one of us had to be sober driver. Big spa was great and hot water worked fine but when we tried the shower in the morning it took about 8 minutes to get any hot water. Had 2 showers with the cold turned off. Thought we paid full amount through Expedia but had to pay extra $79 on arrival. Tiny TV.

Netanya Noosa

75 Hastings Street, Noosa Heads - Map
"Ideally situated on the beachfront"
Netanya provides the ideal position for a relaxing holiday in Noosa. As well as being situated on the beachfront it is close to all shops, cafes, eateries especially Massimo's Icream!! This time we stayed in the Hastings Penthouse and we made full use of all amenities - the jacuzzi on the top balcony was so good to use after a long walk or swim. The rooms are beautifully fitted out - the bathroom so well appointed with complimentary cosmetics. Towels were plentiful with some for jacuzzi, swimming pool and of course the beach - I don't think we could ask for anything more. Noosa is our favourite holiday destination in Australia - we enjoy the walks along National Park and the beach. The restaurants and cafes provide delicious food which cater for most appetites. And of course the weather was perfect. Have to say we will continue to visit Noosa and Netanya Resort will always be our favourite place in which to live.

Peppers Noosa Resort and Villas

Little Hastings Street, Noosa Heads - Map
"A well hidden entrance/ reception "
Peppers at Noosa started with an extraordinarily bad experience. The resort has 2 very different entrances about 10km apart. The address is shown as Little Hastings St. We arrived at about 6:30 pm at the advertised address, only to find a large boom gate half way up a steep hill blocking us from driving up. It was dark but we looked for an intercom or a way to communicate with reception. Nothing was there. We tried to ring reception but couldn't get the number. We could only get the central booking office. We left in total stress after trying everything but couldn't work out what to do. If we hadn't paid in advance we would have gone elsewhere. After over 30 minutes of stress I thought maybe I could park at the boom gate and walk up. I went back and it I drove up but in the dark still had trouble finding it. Lights, signs, reception phone numbers or an intercom would go a long way to solving this. Also meet a guy who experienced the same thing and decided to book into the Sebel. Others surely must experience this if they haven't stayed before or arrive in the dark at the advertised address. The resort itself wad great. I couldn't fault it. Just a pity the above marred an otherwise good experience.

Ramada Marcoola Beach

"Apartments near the beach"
I was a bit worried about the hotel after I read some negative comments but decided to stay there anyway. What a surprise. The reception staff was great - I asked if my son could book in early as he came in on an international flight and it was no problem. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. We didn't have a sea view - I forgot to ask for one, but had a view over the airport runway and hills. We didn't mind that - watched the planes land and take off. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant a few times and the food was good. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and not crowded at all. There are also a few restaurants across the road from the hotel. Overall it was a great holiday. Thanks
