The place was old, smelled & disgusting! We saw 2 baby roaches and lots of little bugs in the bathroom. No breakfast or coffee. The surrounding area is sketchy. Our reservation was for 3 nights and we left after the 1st night. The place should be torn down. A waste of my $166.00

I like the ease of locale by 95. Im not fancy. Clean sheets..yes Cheap price..yes Ammenities.. None. And i was charged again upon arrival. Friendly clerk at desk.

Good economical overnight accomidations
It is a older motel. The office area and interior halls look the part. The assigned room, however, was just fine. Clean and in good condition, heating system worked fine, plentiful ice in the ice machine in the hall. The room did not have the microwave as I had expected but the staff delivered one promptly.

If you’re trying to fish in santee cooper and you don’t want to break the bank it’s a good spot. Really nice staff, sweet little restaurant next door. You should obviously know that when you don’t pay a lot for lodging it’s not going to be the nicest

These people are con artists. I booked my room after 10 pm but they state that checkin is over at 8pm. So, no hotel room and not returning my money. Dishonest Scum!

Staff was very friendly & upgraded our room to king size bed instead of queen. All their ads advertise continental breakfast but all they offered was snack items for &1.00 each. Coffee was not available until 10 am. Our room was very clean but hallways were not. All in all for the price, it was acceptable.

Double charged, not worth single charge
I pre-paid for the room and then got charged directly as well (nearly $15 less on the direct charge). The Hotels.com folks were good enough to refund and let me keep my points. The place looks like it has not seen any work since it was likely built in the mid-60s when I-95 was opened in that area. Parking lot is full of craters. Almost deserted.

This is an older facility which probably was very nice in it's day. Positives: it was close to the highway, it was clean and quiet. The shower had ample pressure and the temperature was consistent. I felt safe. Negatives: The office had limited hours (didn't open until 10 AM) so at check-out, you just left the key and TV remote (yes, they handed you a remote when you checked-in) on a window sill outside the office. The bed was OK but the pillows were a rock. Towels were skimpy. I couldn't get WiFi (it was available but I couldn't connect). No clock, no shampoo, no coffee. There was car up on blocks in the parking lot. Beyond this, the place is a very nice one-star mote.

Stayed here because we were stranded by a major snowstorm and every other hotel/motel in the area was full. A depressing, dismal, dingy place -- almost nothing had been updated since the 1960s. We really had no choice given the weather that night -- under any other circumstances we would have continued driving to find better accommodations. The next morning I couldn't wait to get out of there, especially after killing a cockroach in the bathroom.

I stayed at this motel ONLY because it was the only hotel in the area of totality for the Great American Eclipse. If I could have stayed at a chain hotel I would have but every hotel within 100 miles was sold out a month before the event. The rate should have warned me, but I needed a room. For one night with the AC unit that sounded like a freight train and a neighbor who played loud music until 2:00 AM, and no office staff between midnight and 10AM, I made due. Even the WiFi did not work. This place could be used to remake Psycho.

The hotel was closed when I got there. There was no one to help me Check in neither did they answer my calls. I had to book another hotel last minute And I didn't get my money back. Bad idea to book here. In a shady neighbourhood.

Very bad!
It looks like a horror movie, it is a very very old place. The front desk (if you can call it like that) is only open from 11 am to 11 pm so If you arrive later than that you won't be able to sleep there. We were two ladies and the place really scared us, very old, neglected, the room smelled weird, and the bed was held with some wood pieces on the legs so it would make the bed taller that it looked like. The bathroom was very very old and it looked dirty. I know I didn't pay that much for a night, $50, but I think it is way overpriced for what I had. The worst part was when it says BREAKFAST INCLUDED BUT THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A KITCHEN!!!! Never coming again and you shouldn't either.

The motel appeared to be what was once a Howard Johnsons Motor Inn and probably hadn't been updated since it was built. The room had an odor, probably the carpeting. There didn't appear to be any bugs. Despite being located at the very end of the exit ramp we could not find the property because the sign and the building was in such disrepair. Probably explains why there is no photo of the building on the website. There is no way I would have just driven in for a nights stay. On a positive note the shower worked well and it was cheap and pet friendly. Luckily we were one of what seemed to be four guests staying the night.

In the 30 minutes I was inside the room I saw a total of 6 roaches 2 in the bed and 4 in the bathroom. 2 in the bathroom were dead. It smelled really bad. There was nobody to call the service desk was closed. When I finally got a hold of somebody they stated that there was not going to be a refund. If you don't have no other choice but to stay at this hotel I sugest you sleep outside.

Most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in. At 2:15 a.m. a man knocked on our door wondering if we ordered a refrigerator. Worst hotel ever. Both thumbs down!!!!!!
