Upon arrival to Cedar Key, we found a small town that feels larger than life. The peace, the scenery, and the serenity were more than we could have hoped for.From the outside, the home looked like a cozy getaway surrounded by plants, mini gardens, and a charming tea area with a small fountain. At the top of the stairs were two wooden rocking chairs, perfect for morning coffee. Once you open the door, you’re welcomed into a beautiful wooden cabin — warm, personal, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was heavenly, and the sofa and pull-out bed were just as inviting. The train-themed décor, complete with lantern-style lighting, added so much charm. There was even a personal table for two.The walk from the cabin to the beaches was under two minutes. We explored the entire town in less than an hour, stopping for coffee, seafood, and even visiting the local library and museum. You truly don’t need a car unless you plan to leave the island.The hosts were caring, responsive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. This was a weekend getaway we will never forget.
