"THE POOL MAY BE HEATED FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $25 PER DAY OF STAY" This is a newly remodeled four bedrooms elegant house. The property located in the heart of Summerland Key. It is the perfect Key for a vacation getaway. Summerland Key is an island in the lower Florida Keys about 20 miles east of Key West. The island has a private airport located 3 blocks from the house. The airport can be used by the guests of the house. Summerland is the perfect spot for fishing, hiking, boating, kayaking, and cycling. There is an oceanfront pool, where you can soak up the sun just steps from the house all year round. Breathtaking views of the crystal blue ocean and sunsets can be seen throughout the property. Dine outside with island vibes under the tiki hut. The house also includes a billiards table in the carport. Disclaimer: THE DOCK is a solid steel located in a deep water canal with a 6' control draft, it was recently rebuilt. LIVING AREA Spacious ocean viewing living room with designer furniture and a 56" flat -screen TV. KITCHEN & DINING Modern granite countertops with a full set of stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen has a microwave oven (no individual oven), coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, french door refrigerator. Dining table with chairs (additional foldable commercial dining table available with 8 chairs) with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. We do provide guests with a very basic toiletry starter kit. BEDROOMS &BATHS This two-story home sleeps up to 12 guests in four bedrooms. The first master bedroom on the first floor is furnished with a king-size bed. You can enjoy waking up to the view of the ocean from your room. It has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The other bedroom on the first floor is furnished with one bunk bed (top bunk is an extra-large twin and the bottom bunk is extra-large full). There is also a twin-sized bed in the room. This room can sleep four guests. Right outside the door is the bathroom with a tub and shower. On the second floor, the elegant second master bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed and a 56" curved TV. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is another bedroom on the second floor. The entrance is through the master bedroom. The fourth bedroom has one bunk bed (top bunk is an extra-large twin and the bottom bunk is extra-large full) and full sleeper. This room has gorgeous natural lighting and breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean. OUTDOOR AREA House has a pool with a picturesque view of the ocean (The pool is professionally maintained and is serviced once a week. The pool is not heatted. We live in a National Wildlife Refuge. Wildlife, particularly birds, have a mind of their own and sometimes wind blows debris into the pool. You may need to skim the pool in between services. We highly recommend you do not feed birds and wildlife.). The tiki hut is the perfect setting for romantic outdoor dining. The pool is not heated. In the evening, the whole yard is illuminated with stellar lights. You can have a serene walk in the acreage yard. The outdoor grill comes with 2 propane tanks. ADDITIONAL REFILL ARE NOT PROVIDED. Multiple businesses in the area provide exchange or refill. EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS The amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, parking space for up to ten cars. The house itself is pretty much as advertised. We selected it for the two master bedrooms. However, as others have noted, the second floor master bedroom is not very private. As we were all family it worked for us. We had a few maintenance issues, but the property manager was very prompt to take care of them. Overall, the host was very nice. For us, the biggest negative was the distance from Key West. It was advertised to be 20 minutes. Rechecking on Google Maps shows that it is 30 minutes from the edge of Key West island and about 40 minutes from most Key West tourist attractions. The view is beautiful. The pool and tiki hut and pool table are was awesome for our family to hang out. It doesn’t have any shade right by the pool but the tiki hut and pool table area were shaded. The second king bedroom is upstairs after walking up spiral staircase. There is no private door- it’s kind of like a loft. And then there’s a bunk room that is off of the king bedroom upstairs so if you want privacy, good luck. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor are private. The property was immaculately maintained, plenty of room for all and we enjoyed every minute.The bedroom layout isn’t what many would expect. It was disclosed, but somehow I missed it. The entire second floor is accessible by winding staircase, but is more like a loft (no noise protection from the first floor) and the “fourth bedroom” is really a connected sun room with glass door off the loft bedroom. To access it or use the second floor bathroom, you have to walk past the people sleeping in the primary room. Thankfully our adult daughter slept in that room, but it would be awkward if not REALLY close with the people sharing the second floor.Additionally, check in is 5pm and check out is 9am sharp…it’s posted as before 9am in the rental. We were very lucky to be able to check in at 3pm (I asked the hostess prior if there was any wiggle room. Luckily the cleaning company had finished early) And lastly, there is no full sized oven. Most people going on vacation would not really care, but I had planned an extensive Christmas menu. There is a mid-size countertop oven, but it could not fit the ham or be able to bake multiple pies. Property manager provided us with 2 available free ramps to drop off our jet-skis. We settled on the ramp located on Blimp Road, which was a 10 minute drive and 15-20 minute ride on the skis. We were able to tie off our skis our whole stay with no issues. Home was exactly as disclosed and worked great for our family. Communication was great, with quick respond time. ##### Yissel W. I would strongly suggest that some work be done in the kitchen. Frying pans were warped, counter oven had a sprung door, toaster only worked on one side. Also, the bunk beds needed tightening. It was a mix of related and not related couples, but we had a blast and everyone had space. The second room only having access through the master worked for us since we had related people on the trip, but it was a minor inconvenience and we knew about it when we booked. If you had young kids with you, it would probably be a great fit. We brought bikes and had fun exploring Summerland. The tiki bar (Tonio's) is walking distance and a great little hangout. There are lots of other places 5-10 min drive. Key West is about 30 mins and Ubers are expensive, so just plan on that if you're going to party there. Owner was supportive and great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again for adults only or with kids. ##### Kate M.
