Little Timber Creek Cabin Additional Room Details Living Room Queen Sleeper Sofa Views TV Main Floor Fireplace Fan Shared Bath Tub/Shower Combo Welcome to Little Timber Creek Cabin! Little Timber Creek Cabin is a cozy, little, two-story log cabin. It has a complete kitchen, a bathroom with a tub and shower, a living room with HDTV and Satellite programming, a queen-size sleeper sofa, and a wood-burning fireplace. The covered front porch looks down at the fire pit and creek. When the water is high, you can hear the water flowing. The rear deck houses the gas grill and the hot tub. The upstairs loft has a queen-size bed. Little Timber has heat and air conditioning and allows pets (dogs only, one per reservation). Little Timber Creek Cabin does not have a washer and dryer. There are, however, numerous laundromats about ten minutes away in Boone if needed during your stay. \*\*\*See the river access note at the bottom of the description. The Timber Creek Cabins, centrally located in Valle Crucis, are just a few miles from the Original Mast General Store and the Valle Crucis Park. Boone and Banner Elk are less than ten miles away, and Blowing Rock is about thirteen miles away. As you cross over the small bridge onto the Timber Creek acreage, look for signs leading you to the Little Timber Cabin, which sits to the left of Big Timber Cabin. Little Timber has a fire pit down by the creek. Big Timber likewise has a fire pit, but it is closer to the front of the property. \*Allows pets with an additional fee. \*Please note: Little Timber Creek Cabin and the neighboring Big Timber Creek Cabin can be booked together, offering a total of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and sleeping arrangements for ten guests. Since both cabins also rent individually, they would both have to be available during your desired dates. The property owner also has a large, 6-acre riverfront meadow with hundreds of feet of river frontage a short drive away! Look for the sign that says "Timber Creek Cabins River Access." Bring your fishing poles, picnic baskets, rafts and tubes, kayaks, and canoes. Fish or float the river and have a family picnic on the river banks. A unique amenity for guests of Little Timber Creek and Big Timber Creek Cabins! The driveway is incredibly steep, so be prepared for that. The view was nice and it was certainly a nice, quiet spot for a get away. Needs to be cleaned This is a great little cabin for two. The only issue is the cleanliness of the property. The front porch was covered in dirt and the outdoor furniture was too dirty to sit in. We spent some time sweeping the porches and cleaning the outdoor sitting cushions. The inside of the cabin was unkept. The general appearance inside the cabin was dusty and an accumulation of dirt and dust on the stair hand rails, behind doors and under furniture was visible. The tub/shower was not clean and lacked a starter kit of soap. No hands towels for the bathroom was also an issue. Another thing is that a starter kit of dish soap or cleaning pad is not provided. The prior guest must not have purchased any cleaning supplies so all the dishes and silverware were visibly dirty and greasy feeling. Overall we had a great time and the cabin is a wonderful space but the housekeeping and provisions for cleaning are lacking. ##### David D. We enjoyed our stay at what is a cozy cabin screened from the neighbors by thick rhododendrons. Open the windows at night and you can hear the creek located 50 feet directly below the front porch.
