This hotel is in an excellent location right across from the main train station. Rooms are on the small side, but it has everything you need and the amenities are modern and clean. There is a great bar at the hotel.

Affordable with good location
Basic hotel with nice lobby and bar. Rooms very small and bathroom tiny. Windows that open.excellent location for easy access to train station but also easy access to sights, Christmas markets and shopping streets. Parking easy with a lot under the hotel.

You get what you pay for - this is pretty basic, no-frills accommodation with tiny rooms, cheap linen and a barely-efficient staff. And why have a huge bar/lounge but have a bartender who doesn’t even know what a martini is?!

The front counter has a hard time finding my Expedia reservation. I think it was Expedia problem, but was about 20 min to get checked in. No coffee in room, no complimentary coffee.

Christmas Markets & Circus
We spent 2-days in Stuttgart to visit Christmas Markets and to go to the Christmas Circus. Great trip! Don’t miss the Christmas Markets in Esslingen … very different from others with huge crowds. Motel One was close to the HBF train station and the shopping street. Our room was small, but clean & modern. We would stay there again.

The hotel is easy to reach from the main train station, about 15 minutes walk. You can go through the ubahn station to avoid crossing streets. There are not many restaurants or things to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center of town. Our room was a reasonable size for two people, as there was room for two people plus our bags. The hotel is very modern and attractively designed, and the elements of the room like the furniture and fixtures were very high quality. The room was very quiet. On the negative side, the water pressure in our shower was very low, and was barely enough for my wife to shampoo her hair. Second, the room didn't have any coffee or tea service, which is something I would expect for this price. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is positioned as a budget hotel and you have to make full payment at check in. However the room and decoration are more like boutique hotel, small room but modern and clean, and very comfortable bed.
