Just 10 mins from Gatcombe Park and 5 mins to the station with fast trains to London The Space: Welcome to Newton Cottage, a charming Grade II listed period home nestled in the heart of Amberley. Perfect for couples, friends, or a family of four, this beautifully presented cottage blends historic character with modern comfort. On the lower level, you’ll find a spacious family sitting room and dining area with a cosy log burner in the lounge — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the Cotswolds. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, and combination washer/dryer, while the contemporary bathroom provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a plush queen-size bed, and the second bedroom features full-size adult bunk beds — ideal for children or additional guests. Step outside to enjoy a private patio and terrace, where you can take in beautiful views of the surrounding hills — a lovely spot for morning coffee or an evening drink. The cottage is fitted with central heating, and all utilities are included. You’ll also have access to free Wi-Fi, a modern LED TV, and a DVD player for cosy nights in. Newton Cottage offers flexible, well-designed accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing and memorable Cotswold getaway. Guest Access: Our guests have private use of the cottage , a small driveway or roadside parking for 1 car and private garden. The Neighborhood: The village has a great local pub and surrounding villages offer a variety of choice. Minchinhampton village and common is in an area of natural beauty and surrounded by rolling hills, Cotswold stone, sheep and beautiful villages. Great base for a trip to Gifford Circus - it is much more than a Circus, it's a magical nod to old fashioned circus with a glamorous twist. Getting Around: We have a small driveway or roadside parking for one car. The Cotswolds is a rural location so it is highly recommend using a car to get around the area. Other Things to Note: We have a few policies in place to ensure all guests enjoy a relaxing, safe, and comfortable stay: 🕓 Check-in is from 4:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am. Early arrival or late departure may be available on request but is not guaranteed. 🧍‍♂️ The lead guest must be 25 years or older. Stayed for 3 nights in October. Beautuful compact cottage perfect for 2 adults. Cottage is very well equipped in a quiet, tranquil area. Cottage was really lovely and so well appointed - we wanted for nothing, we felt so at home. Lovely to wander around the village, bump into the many cows and visit the local pubs. Well placed for a west Cotswalds stay. It felt like a home from home. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cleaning products. The weather was fine and we enjoyed meals in the lovely courtyard farmed with views of the countryside. The cottage has everything we needed with a wonderful view to watch the ever changing skyline. The layout works so well and we really felt at home. We enjoyed lots of excellent walks using the leaflets in the cottage, either direct from the door, or from nearby Avening. The Westonbirt Arboretum is a must for a really enjoyable day out. It has everything you would need for a break away from home. There was plenty of space for the three of us and we all slept soundly. It was cosy but plenty of room for two people. The location could not have been more delightful. Cottage was very clean and plenty of kitchenware for self catering.
