The kitchen area was new, clean with lots of facilities (including a washing machine), while the lounge has a large smartTV, games and guides to the area. There are 2, big, well presented bedrooms, 3 toilets (2 en-suite bathrooms). The woman who was there apologised but was not the owner (we have had no apology from her). The place itself was basic but fine with the exception of some of the kitchen utensils (there was hair in the cheese grater). We were able to have some meals in at night as it has a reasonably well supplied kitchen & this was a bonus after long days out exploring the main island of Orkney. The apartment is clean, tidy and roomy and in a lovely country setting. Each of the two bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom. I would stay here again, it was very comfortable. Stromness is a small town with 3/4 eating places - the Ferry Inn was good but you need to book ahead. The apartment is fine for a short stop over, but if you where to spend your days at the apartment the sitting room furniture is pretty uncomfortable, you would not sit in the chairs for long. ##### Felix
