The apartment is completely overlooking Lake Maggiore from the balcony of the living room the view also extends the Borromean Islands. It 'just a Someraro, a small town above Stresa, quiet and relaxing. It 'very bright, with an east-west orientation. The apartment has 5 beds and consists of an entrance, a dining area with open kitchen and living room, a double bedroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed and a bathroom. From the sofa bed of the living room you can get the 5th bed. The view over the lake Maggiore is one of the most beautiful and complete to be found anywhere in the area. The accommodation is located on the second floor of an early twentieth century house whose thick walls ensure a pleasantly cool even in the summer months. The apartment has a parking space reserved for guests. The living room has a balcony overlooking the lake; then there is a second balcony that opens to both bedrooms. The owner often deals with welcoming guests; in his absence there is a dedicated person. In the same building there is another unit with 4 beds, located on the upper floor, which is also very bright. It is composed of an entrance, a dining area with a kitchen and a living room with a sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom. Wobei bei dem Ausblick vom Balkon eigentlich kein Ausflug nötig gewesen wäre. :-) Ein Auto braucht man vor Ort, da Someraro doch etwas abseits liegt. Die Unterkunft hat alles was man im einer Ferienwohnung braucht. Der Blick ist einzigartig. Die Straßenführung zur Wohnung allerdings auch. Man sollte keine Angst beim Autofahren haben. Die Gassen sind teilweise sehr eng und wenn Gegenverkehr kommt muss man Tetris spielen 😄 Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und bemüht. Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig und praktisch eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Die Kommunikation mit der sehr freundlichen Vermieterfamilie verlief ausgezeichnet. Roberto hat uns im Vorfeld sehr detaillierte Informationen zur Anfahrt geschickt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Gastgeberfamilie empfangen, erhielten zahlreiche tolle und nützliche Tipps zu Ausflügen, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Alles wurde genau und sehr freundlich erklärt. Der Blick vom Balkon auf den See war sensationell und überwältigend. Selbst mein Mann, der stets und ständig unter Strom steht und nur schwer relaxen kann, wurde von dieser wundervollen Aussicht gefangen genommen und meinte, er könnte den ganzen Tag auf dem Balkon sitzen und den See beobachten. Die Borromäischen Inseln liegen einem quasi zu Füßen. Ein Ausflug zu den 3 Schönheiten ist ein Muß, wobei uns die Isola Bella(wie es der Name vermuten lässt) am meisten beeindruckt hat. Die Anfahrt zur Ferienwohnung ist tatsächlich nichts für einen Hasenfuß wie mich, aber meinem Mann hat es sogar Spaß gemacht, die kurvenreiche, teils enge Strecke hoch und bergab zu fahren. Der direkt am Haus liegende Parkplatz ist natürlich auch Gold wert!! Zu erwähnen wäre noch, dass nachts und zum Teil auch tagsüber fast absolute Ruhe herrschte. Es war alles sehr entspannt und man konnte super durch- und ausschlafen. Für den Restauranttipp „Cardini“ in Someraro, nicht weit von der Unterkunft entfernt, waren wir auch sehr dankbar. Wir haben nur bedauert, dass wir dieses tolle kleine Lokal mit leckerem Essen, sehr freundlichem Service und moderaten Preisen erst am letzten Abend besucht haben. The apartment was light and bright. Self check in was easy and exactly as described. The situation above Lago Maggiore was breathtaking and even in the rain the view was ever changing. Out of season the local restaurants were not open but a new supermarket in Stresa with a carpark was good for shopping and the apartment was well equipped for cooking. A handy tip - if the hire car company offers to upgrade to a bigger car, turn them down politely! The roads are steep and very narrow! A gem of a place. ##### Helen W. Das Highlight der Wohnung ist sicher der traumhafte Ausblick. Der Empfang von Rossana und Roberto war sehr herzlich, es gab tolle Tipps und leckere Süsißkeiten. Die Wohnung ist großzügig, geütlich und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. In Stresa kann man bequem einkaufen. Ein eigener Parkplatz steht auch zur Verfügung, was in einem Dorf am Hügel sehr vorteilhaft ist. Vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub, wir kommen sicher wieder. Herzliche Grüße. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und waren daher kaum tagsüber in der Wohnung. Die Begrüßung durch den Vermieter Roberto war herzlich und er gab uns noch einige Tipps bzw. es lag genügend Info-Material in der Wohnung. Der Blick aus dem Fenster auf den Lago Maggiore ist sensationell und im Angebot nicht übertrieben. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist gut. Zwei kleine Mängel: die Dusche ist recht klein und mit Duschvorhang und es gibt keinen deutschen Fernsehempfang. Een fijn balkon aan twee kanten. Het ziet er van binnen heel gezellig uit en de bedden zijn prima. De vriendelijke eigenaar met zijn vrouw geven je alle informatie. Je hebt wel een auto nodig om naar het centrum van Stresa te gaan en boodschappen te doen. Vlakbij zit een prima restaurant Gardini, heerlijk eten en de eigenares spreekt Engels, Duits, Frans en Italiaans. Je kunt er ook s morgens brood halen en s middags een drankje drinken. Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern über Ostern in dieser Ferienwohnung. Wegen der Schlafenszeit unserer Kinder konnten wir spät Abends nicht so viel unternehmen. Dies war jedoch nicht schlimm, da diese Wohnung einen wundervollen Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore hat. Da die Wohnung sich auf einem Hügel befindet, sollte man schon mobil sein, wenn man Kinder dabei hat oder aber lauffaul ist. Die Preise in den Restaurants und Geschäften sind im Vergleich zum Gardasee moderat. Die Einheimischen sind stets sehr nett und zuvorkommend. In allem ein schöner und idyllischer Urlaubsort wenn man die Seele baumeln lassen möchte und keinen Aktivurlaub begehrt! Der Vermieter ist im übrigen auch sehr nett! ##### Özlem K.
