Nice large room with 2 queen beds & lg bathroom. No fridge or microwave. Parking is free, but 3 blocks away. room is up a long, steep flight of stairs, no hotel lobby - check in at restaurant next door; elevator is inconveniently located and only within restaurant hours.

Tired Mattress
My wife and i have been staying at Foster's for years whenever we visit Stratford. We have always enjoyed our stay as the staff are so great and it's lication is perfect for taking in all the theater that the Festival has to offer. This trip however, wasn't quite up to the standards we have grown to live over the years, primarily because the mattress on the bed seemed to have outlasted its expiration date. It was, i am sad to say quite a bit broken down, and as such we both experienced 3 difficult nights. Also the toilet ran ever so slightly all the time and then the tank refilled itself periodically all night long. I am hopeful that these maintenance issues were due to our visit beijg at the end of the busy season and that the innkeepers will be replacing old mattresses soon, etc.

We enjoyed the convenience of the location, the staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The skylight did not afford a sleep in as it was very bright by 6 am. The air conditioning unit was very loud when it kicked in. Dining was excellent food and service fantastic. Parking not available but free parking a block or so away not great if you have mobility issues.

This is a lovely inn, well located, good in-house restaurant with great staff. However, it’s time to upgrade the beds. They are old and uncomfortable (at least ours was) and my husband and I came out with sore backs after 2 nights. Bathroom was clean-ish. Otherwise, it’s a good option for accommodation while visiting the festival.

Lovely old Stratford property with easy walkability to of the Festival Theatres and unique shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. It would be helpful for the rooms to have a coffee/tea tray including a small coffee maker and/or kettle with coffee and tea- as an early riser there was nothing for me at 6am.

Excellent location. Very close to theatre, restaurants and shopping. Everything is very walkable. Room is comfortable, with basic amenities. Room is clean. Only exception is parking. It states there is parking. However it’s misleading as the parking is in a municipal lot 2 blocks away. It is not great for someone who has accessibility needs.

My friend and I were very satisfied with our stay. The location is close to everything downtown and all the staff are very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We have recommended the hotel already to several friends.

Enjoyed the restaurant. Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The room had no amenities: no coffee maker, no hair dryer, insufficient glasses. Scary number of dust bunnies under the bed. Also kept bashing our shins on the bed frame. A bag of garbage in the elevator that stayed there for hours.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and the location is great. Right in the heart of downtown stratford. Super easy to walk to all theatres, even the Festival Theatre which was only a 15-20 minute walk. The restaurant/bar that is below the rooms closes at 9pm which makes it very quiet at night which was nice. Being and older building you can hear people in the halls ways and above you moving about but it wasn’t too noticeable at night. The only con is that the room didn’t have any coffee/tea/kettle which was surprising and disappointing. It’s always nice to wake up and grab a coffee as you’re getting ready. There are a lot of coffee options in the area it would just be nice to have a little coffee station in the room like at most hotels/inns. Everything else was good. We would definitely stay here again.

I did not receive an email prior to staying. We connected with the clothing store below and she found us the info to enter the building. We had called the owner to ask about where to park but did not receive a reply. We asked someone on the street about parking and they directed us to the Cooper lot. It was a 10 minute walk to where we stayed which felt a bit unsafe at 9-11pm at night. The inside of the apartment was nice and well kept. The water smelled like rotten eggs. Not sure what was up with that. The location is great for being downtown and going to shops.
