The property can be rented as entire house or a reduced rate for a 3 or 4 bedroom, please enquire before booking . This modern house has spacious rooms and is set in an elevated position in a peaceful area overlooking the countryside and a wildlife pond. There is plenty of lawned area to the front and rear of the house which is surrounded by woodlands. There is an abundance of wildlife includind pheasants, red squirrels, woodpeckers, jays, doves and many other birds that come to the various feeders on the property. The quaint village of Portpatrick where there is a golf course, mini golf, gardens, walks, beach, fishing, restaurants and pubs is a 10 minute drive. The town of Stranraer is a 10 minute drive, where there are grocery shops including Morrisons, Tesco, Farmfood and Lidl, also banks, shops, pubs and restaurants. The Mull of Galloway, the most southern point of Scotland, is a 40 minute drive and well worth a visit as there is an RSPB reserve, lighthouse, coffie house and spectacular panoramic views. Port Logan is a small fishing village with a large beach, botanic gardens and the fish pond is on the way to the Mull. The location was great very quiet and relaxing but only a 15 minute drive from the local towns and beaches. Each room in house is well stocked and there is plenty of storage for clothes etc in bedrooms. This proved to be a fab base for us to explore the west coast. The only changes we feel the property needs is a little update to give the house a real wow factor which it could be more than capable of. Also while the house was tidy we did feel it wasn’t especially clean and found we had to wash a lot of the kitchen equipment, worktops and cooker before we could use them. Everything our family of 9 could ask for. Quality bedding and towels, fully equipped kitchen, beyond most holidays homes! Bedrooms large with fitted wardrobes and cupboards. Plenty of space in laundry/boot room . Many balls, racquets , foam cricket bat and other outdoor toys. The woods are super for the children especially great fun for the Easter egg hunt. Red squirrels, pheasants, siskins, rooks dashing through the outer areas of the woods, a good display daily. We all loved the house area and especially the lovely host Graham, nothing too much trouble for him. We hope to visit again. The Homer & Murdoch families. ##### jane H. As said in other reviews, the pictures don't do the house justice. The wildlife was also a bonus. Wifi was great in the house - we had at least 6 devices connected at any one time, many times more, with no issues. Note, no connection to vodafone network or O2 networks.
