« Terrible experience. This is my first public comment over 30 years of travel.
Extremely noisy elevator bell located right in front of the room (which is not mentionned upon booking).
Rambling noise starting a 4:30 am probably due to washing machines.
I do not bother commenting on the rest. A hotel which does not guarantee proper resting should not exist.
Avoid at all cost. »
« The grounds are beautiful and the staff is so friendly. The mechanics are a bit old, which is good to keep in mind when placed in a room near the elevator. It’s not horrible but definitely noticeable. Additional small touches to the room would make a huge difference. There are few places in the bathroom to hang your things and no furniture to unpack into. There is also a lot of empty wall space in the room where shelves or wall hooks would be super helpful. »
« Quaint property on Island. Porters handled all the bags to and from the ferry. Easy to get to everything in downtown. Great prices on bicycle rentals. Great breakfast served in the morning. Only downside was both our room and the friends we were traveling with had our room alarms go off at 6am in the morning. Must have been housekeeping wanting us to get an early start leaving. »

I booked this room uner the impression that I was renting a cabin.
So when I checked in, I asked the receptionist if what I booked was a cabin and she said no! I was truly disappointed. I knew at about 100$ for the night it would have been way to lucky. Going back to the website page after the fact, I realize that pictures of the regular model rooms and the cute cottages are all mixed in there. « The place is great for family vacations! We keep coming back because we love the lake access, the pools, playground, and of course the campfire and s’mores. Continental breakfast is great. Staff are really nice and friendly, the place is clean and comfortable »

« If all super 8's were like this one, they would have a much better reputation. We had a great night. The pool was warm and clean, the hot tub was hot. The room was clean, the beds and pillows comfy. Breakfast had plenty of options (no meat, but egg omelets!), yummy blueberry sauce for waffles. The breakfast attendant was so friendly and sweet. The location was convenient and well kept. Walking distance to restaurants and well lit. »

So the motel room was decently clean. Very outdated though. But everything worked. But the walls are also paper thin. You hear pretty clearly people chatting and laughing. It makes it hard to sleep at night. I had to turn on the AC to block the noises.
We were there in late October. I can see that it's prime location in the summer. The property is right on the lake. Beautiful beach. "
