Do not stay here. The room was not clean, the neighbors fought all night and kept us awake, the property was shady with weird people in the parking lot, the tub had no water controls, smelled of mold, keys kept deactivating

Wife and I on a color tour of Northern Mich and Eastern UP. This was a great base area, easy on to the bridge. Our upper lake view room was all we needed, a clean room, hot shower and comfortable bed, great views from balcony. This is a resort town so expect to spend some for meals. Hotel personnel were courteous and helpful.

It rained during the night. There was a puddle of water at the base of the stairs and could not get to my car in the morning without getting my shoes very wet. Poor maintenance--broken lid on coffee pot so coffee did not fill the pot, only 1 of 2 light bulbs in BOTH overhead lights burned out, room dim, missing lamp shade, outlets old and would not hold a plug except in coffee pot area, room and bedding very clean, TINY bathroom with loud fan when light turned on. Personnel very friendly

Sleep on your car.
Sleep in your car, its cleaner. Shoddy, dark, run down, creepy. Blankets have holes, carpet is bare, not sure when it was cleaned last. If it wasn't midnight after an all day drive, we wouldn't have stayed.

I was unable to stay once I checked in. The room had a terrible smell of mold when the air conditioner turned on. I went to the front desk and asked to be put in another room. The desk clerk said - no unfortunately we are all booked. That was a lie - I looked online and they were rooms available. There was an identified nasty spot on the bed spread. The room was not clean. When I turned my key back into the front desk (I could not stay there-my sister was having problems breathing from the mold) there were two other people leaving as well. They had bugs in their room. They were unsatisfied with their room as well. The front desk clerk did not care one bit that my sister was sick from the mold and having issues breathing. She said go ahead and dispute the charge. We have had several people stay in that room without a problem. I said well were not allergic to mold. We took pictures of the mold and the other things wrong with the room. It was not a good experience and I would never book with them again. It was just awful.

Lady at the front desk was friendly. Otherwise, the room just looked dirty and there were many things falling apart in the room. The wallpaper was coming off in many different parts of the room. The toilet didn’t look like it was clean and floor of the shower had black marks on it. I was not impressed by the room at all and it definitely needs some repair and attention. Also, the listing has a continental breakfast, but found out the first day that they only offered coffee and 1 flavor of prepackaged muffins for breakfast. It was not as expected and not very accommodating for anyone that has food allergies.

Our room was a disaster—dirty carpet, not any convenient plug-ins to charge phones, an iron but no ironing board, lights not all functioning, peeling wallpaper, countertop in bathroom coming apart etc. On the plus side, the desk clerk was very friendly and beds were fairly comfortable.

Overall this hotel was great. I was concerned because most of the reviews that I read were terrible. The room was clean and very comfortable. Lobby staff was very nice and helpful. You can walk right to the star line ferry. The jacuzzi and pool were questionable (literally the only downside). It is "lakeside" but no beach. The ferry parking is between the hotel and water but the views are still nice. For the price, it was perfect.

The rooms carpeting was awful. The bathroom was tiny. The toilet seat wiggled. The furniture was used, abused and skimpy. We had two beds, one felt like it was paper sheets. The tip envelope for the staff had been ripped open and left there for another use.

The price point on this place is lower than its competitors. There's a reason. This hotel is slowly being renovated and not all the rooms are quite up to snuff. We had a Jet tub booked and it took about 4 minutes of searching to find the control. Behind the TV cabinet, hmm, who'd have thunk? Out of four lamps in the room, only two worked. The plusses? Great view, friendly staff, nice balcony to watch the ferries come and go. Great hot water and easy parking.

The view from our room was stunning especially morning sunrise. The staff person at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. However the bathroom light and fan were disgustingly filthy as was the carpeting.

This hotel is terribly rundown and not worth the money charged for the room. After checking in and seeing the room I looked online to consider leaving and the same room was half the cost. When I went to the front desk to inquire about getting the cheaper rate the clerk said she couldn't do anything about room rates and even if I decided to leave I would not get a refund. It's not her fault, she is the worker. The hotel pictures are misleading and it needs a major upgrade. The carpet smells dusty and old and the wall coverings are peeling off. Everything is old and outdated. I will NEVER stay at a Days Inn again. Completely disappointed, I did not select a cheaper hotel because I didn't want a rundown place and unfortunately, I've paid twice the amount for a rundown place.

I never checked in because I did not get what I wanted I filed a claim I reserved a Lakeview room balcony I get to the hotel the staff was rude and unprofessional, she said to me your room has only jacuzzi no balcony and it is not Lakeview, lake view is only the name of days inn, I will need my full money in return because I had to leave there and sleep the night in my car. I will need my full money in return otherwise I will write a really bad review and talk to friends and family not to book with Expedia Bcz it’s just a lie, you don’t get what you reserve Oh and Tracey the supervisor has a very nasty attitude DONT THiNK OF GOING THERE The front desk get bribed and get money under the table and TRACEY is the FIRST 1!!!!!!!!!!! STOP REJECTiNG you know it’s the TRUTHhhh I will expose you everywhere

The customer service leaders were moderately friendly. They put on a smile for the customers; however, their tone was not very friendly. The hot tub jets were not working properly, and the hot tub was not very warm. The pool lighting was poor and made things appear unclean.

Our stay here was laughable as we kept finding things that made us go “wow are you kidding me?” From missing doorway trim and electrical outlet coverings, to giant paint flecks at the bottom of the pool, this hotel has definitely seen better days. The best thing about this hotel was the water park vouchers that we got to use at ANOTHER property across the street. I would not stay here again.

Just don't do it. Trust me. I don't get how people could even give more than one star. The rooms look like they haven't been cleaned well in years. The amount of dust on the top of the shower and mold shows it. The bathroom exhaust fan was loaded with dust that the light barely worked. The carpet is absolutely nasty, stains everywhere. Toe nail clippings by the bed and trash behind the dresser. Cobwebs in every corner of the room along with dead bugs and spiders. Mini fridges are very old and the first room the fridge was on an outdoor chair. Dirt on the one set of sheets so we slept in the other bed. After checking in and seeing what a mess the room was we asked if we could just cancel they refused. Then we asked if we could just stay the first night and cancel the second night. All was refused. The front desk clerk or manager as she claimed to be was very rude and unwilling to help. They need to take updated photos of the hotel because what is advertised is completely fraud.

Hot tub barely functional. Despite other reviews.. there was no beach. Peeling wallpaper.metal patches on roof banging on roof being blown away by the wind. Staff was pleasent enough but our room was not ready at 3. Booked a lake view, had a parking lot view. No breakfast as advertised. Would not recommend
