Great location. Easy access to freeway and also short drive to the heart of Mackinaw City. Also very close walking distance to Mackinac Island Ferry Dock #1.

The hotel from the outside is perfect! The room and cleanliness was decent due to the room is dated as well as some parts of the wallpaper was peeling off. The customer service was unacceptable because the front desk employee practically did not know anything. We asked about the free breakfast that was advertised and immediately answered that there is no breakfast then he said he text messaged the manager regarding it. We later got the response from the manager sending us to another hotel for their free breakfast. We were disappointed on how the front desk employee responded with us due to he seemed like he did not know how to answer several of our questions and always answering with a state of confusion.

The room worked pretty well for the 4 of us, but my son was looking forward to being able to soak in the hot tub after his football game and there was literally a hole in the ceiling with water leaking into the pool, and the hot tub was super murky.

Like most northern Michigan hotels, the property features were a little dated, but overall it was clean and the staff was fantastic. We had a suite with a King/Queen/Queen which was perfect for our family of six.

Breakfast was less than great! Location to sheplers dock was amazingly close with a back way. View was nice. The walls were thin! Furnishings we're out dated. TV and remote had some issues. But for the price to stay on the water, it was expectable. Office staff was very nice!

Was disappointed in the condition of bathroom....sink drained slow, tissue holder fell apart when tissue pulled out (wrong size tissue box). The power strip was unplugged so nothing worked (TV, coffee maker, microwave). Some black mold around bathtub....biscuits were very dry.

Accommodations and check-in was very convenient. Some updating and improvements of the property are needed. Ice machine in the lower level is horrid. Just some maintenance all around is needed. Price very reasonable.

The breakfast room had no heat, all breakfast items on one single row towards the wall at the entrance of the room. This caused long lines. Warm items got quickly cold by the time we settled on the table due to un-heated rooms and warmers were not efficient. Quite disappointing

I loved the balcony on the beach front view. Our room was very nice and comfortable. On the other hand the breakfast and room coffee was absolutly horrible.

Room was dated but clean. Beds were not comfortable, however the sheets were clean and pillows were nice. Fast, convenient check in and check out. Breakfast was ok, but minimal.

The hotel was HUGE and kind of confusing. Breakfast was far away from our room, on the 2nd floor. We saw the man working in the kitchen handling the frozen pancakes with his bare hands so we skipped it.

The check in and check out was fast. The room has a musty/ old strong smell. The door and the outside wall needs extra TLC, spider webs and dirt all over. The pool is nice and clean, but the hot tub has too much bubbles. Breakfast was nice and warm.

No, I understand that. It was the end of a very busy summer tourist season, the facility was not as clean as I would expect. They were cobwebs in the corners of the room, the bed was worn and stained, and even the outside of the building was dirty, I believe the facility could definitely be better rated with a good cleaning

The pool has so much chlorine that my eyes burned after 20 minutes and I didn’t even go under. We tried the hot tub…. Same problem. My kids even wanted to leave after 20 minutes and didn’t argue.

The motel needs a power wash. Dirty siding front top window bird droppings. Stairwells are dirty. Ice machine dirty. Mattress uncomfortable. Room light fixture in bathroom had no cover. Light fixture had cobwebs and wires exposed. Room has outdated furniture. Dirty carpet left shoes bottom soles with black marks.

The beds were comfortable and the water was hot. The room smelled awful when we first entered, the dead bolt did not work, two lamps had torn lamp shade or would not stand up by itself, TV did not work properly and was on the wall at a 20 - 30 degree angle and the bath tub faucet constantly dripped. We will not stay there again or recommend this place to anyone.
