Not worth the price. We were also put in a double bed room on a floor full of pets (I’m allergic). Hot water didn’t work on first day. When asked for assistance, was simply told nothing could be done.

The staff here is special!! They go above and beyond to help and keep a friendly demeanor no matter what! Starting with Carol, Michael, Jeff, Rafael, Ricky, Troy, Basellio, Carlos, Alex, Dustin, Nina, the cleaning people etc. i wish i could remember all of their names. But they are wonderful! Went for a girls weekend trip and from the moment we got to topnotch until the moment we left the service was excellent from all of the staff. The indoor pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were excellent to wind down and relax. The restaurant was also good as well. The fire pit in the patio was a nice touch to make s’mores

Loved the pool and outdoor hot tub. The room was very clean beds were comfortable. Very happy with the accommodations. I loved getting a little piece of delicious chocolate each night of our stay. We will be back. I highly recommend staying here.

Rooms need TLC. Showing age. $35 per day mandatory resort fee with no extra perks. Just a dishonest way to advertise a lower room rate and then gouge the customers. Also some staff were unfriendly. Won’t stay again or recommend to others.

For a hotel that in the past was considered TopNotch, I was not impressed at all. The entry rundown with chipped flagstone flooring in lobby area. The internet was horrible and the water faucet in the tub/shower was impossible to turn on. Had to call the front desk to ask and the response was “you are not the first person to ask this.” No drinks or snacks in minibar! Then on your checkout they add an automatic charge of $2.00 for the Stowe Land Trust. I asked them to remove it. If I had been asked to consider a donation and then have it added to bill, I might have said yes. Positive comments - comfortable bed with clean sheets, outside pool area great and spa offerings good.

Needs updating
Top notch is a nice location but the property needs updating. There was noticeable deferred maintenance including warn furniture. The welcome staff was not very welcoming and very difficult to understand.

For a resort that charges an obscene amount and passes itself off as 4 stars, I would not expect: scuff marks on the wall; outdated room and even more outdated bathroom; no cell phone usb plug in; no central air, ac unit in wall thus making loud noise all night long; internet extremely slow; walls very thin; food was no good; the pool and spa closes at 7... 7!; no mini fridge; no curtain to block out morning light, etc....

Ownership has continued to make investments in improvements property wide that impact our guests and there are more renovations planned in the months and years to come that will address some of the concerns you have voiced. There are mini fridges in every room the location will vary with room type and they are sometimes located in the entry closet which might not have been made clear. Our indoor pool opens at 7am and outdoor pools open at 8am both options are open until 9pm daily including the co-ed steam and saunas poolside.
