Romantic ski retreat with ski-in/ski-out access

Ski-in Ski-out Studio: This Lodge at Spruce Peak luxury studio is situated on the ground floor in the newer South Wing. The studio has 13ft high ceilings in the main living room/bedroom area which is enhanced by the magnificent views of Mount Mansfield. The views from this studio look directly at the Front Four of Stowe. The studio has a King size bed with a new mattress and New Leather Queen sleeper sofa in the living area. There are also new bedcovers and accent pillows in the studio. The kitchenette consists of a 2 burner stove, microwave, under-counter refrigerator & dishwasher. Cutlery, dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee maker & kitchen utensils are all provided. The ensuite bathroom consists of a stall shower, soaker tub. There is also a balcony which has a small table & two chairs to use in the summer. The Lodge at Spruce Peak is a Four Star Hotel situated at the base of Spruce Peak, the property is Ski in/ Ski out with a ski valet and several restaurants on site. You have access to the outdoor year round heated swimming pool with two spas. The town of Stowe is a great place to spend the day with plenty of shops, art galleries and restaurants. In the summer the valet takes care of your bikes. There are plenty of places to ride your road bike as well as a Mountain Bike. Hiking trails are at your doorstep. Fly fishing is very popular in the area and there are several golf courses near by. The town and the surrounding area has several craft breweries to visit along with a winery. Daily housekeeping is not included however available upon request prior to arrival for an additional charge. Valet parking for one car each night is included.

Great Location and Very Convenient

We loved being able to check our snowboards, call down 15 minutes before, pick up our equipment and walk right onto the slopes. There is a spa and room service which makes being lazy easy! Room service definitely over priced and the food was not great. The only suggestion I have is to give us more information on what the hotel provides. We didn't know until we were checked out that there is a shuttle that runs free from the hotel to town :(

Great Stay

Excellent property. Friendly staff and full access to all of Stowe's wonderful amenities. The lodge is a fantastic place and is like visiting Vail on the East Coast. You can't beat it.

Room was fine but dirty - e.g., prior occupant's dirty laundry was left in the room. We were not allowed to use the health club. Our security deposit was held for months. There were tons of extra fees (including, ironically, a $150 fee to pay the cleaners). We were forced to sign an incremental rental agreement before they would even let us in. In short, they could not have been less customer friendly...
