Nous avons eu la chambre située sous les combles, un peu juste au niveau hauteur pour les clients d'une taille supérieure à 1m 80. Le confort est correct sans plus. La salle de bains est de taille très réduite, certains éléments comme la brosse des toilettes demandent à être remplacés. Par ailleurs le thermostat de la douche fonctionnait mal si bien que l'on avait le choix entre une eau glacée ou bien une eau brûlante. Cet établissement ne mérite pas à notre avis ses 4 étoiles. En revanche, les îles Harris et Lewis méritent une visite: la plage de Luskentyre n'a rien à envier à celles des Caraïbes, les témoignages du passé sont nombreux (Callanish, Bostadh, ...), Butt of Lewis, Stornoway...

Même si la façade n'est pas très attrayante, cette petite pension est impeccable à tous les points de vue, propreté, confort, accueil, les chambres sont petites mais bien conçues, les salles de bains très bien.

Comfort and tradition.
Our hosts, Linda and Laura, were so friendly and welcoming. They took time out of their day to advise us on local sights to see and went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. Breakfast was generous and that famous Stornoway black pudding was amazing! The guesthouse was also conveniently located at just a short walk away from a range of places to eat.

Conveniently located close to a filling station (glad we remembered that it is closed on Sundays) and free street parking (don't park on the car park just behind the property). Excellent breakfast, all though I wish there could have been a wee bit extended breakfast hours on the weekend. Short walk to the town centre for some restaurants and pubs open late also. Room was fine, it seems the bathroom has been added quite recently, in stead of a wardrobe, but it works (only on the small side, but no problem for us).

Linda made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. We simply cannot thank her enough for her selfless assistance in making our trip to Stornoway and the isle of Lewis and Harris an unforgettable experience. The guest house is very very nice. The room was huge. The shower awesome. The bed one of the best we’ve encountered. All in all we could not have chosen better. Area completely walkable with a lovely woodland walk just across the street. Surprisingly quiet for being on the main drag thru town. 👌

意外と便利な路上駐車
建物入口前の道路の路上駐車で、最初は少し不安でしたが、1車線が建物前で増えていて、帰ってきた時に、仮に他の車が停まっても、その車は短時間で移動しますから、必ず空きスペースができます。 全く問題ありませんでした。

It is well positioned and on the whole good. I would strongly advise that you have a room that is not facing the road. It is on a main road that is very busy and noisy. Breakfast was good, but don't expect any fresh fruit.

Lovely, warm and welcoming guest house in the heart of Stornoway. All roims ensuite with power shower and toiletries. Hairdryer in rooms too. Full cooked breakfast is delicious.

Brilliant location in Stornoway
Very handy hotel for centre of Stornoway. Parking is on street, but was available. Owner was very welcoming. Multi-tasking as I arrived due to power cut that affected whole town. The town is a flat 10 min walk. Room was comfortable and quiet. Mine overlooked the local garage!. Breakfast came quickly and was very generous. Its a large table arrangement, which I liked as it encourages talking to other guests. If you change credit cards between making reservation and staying, do make this clear to the owner as they automatically charge the original card otherwise. Looking forward to staying again if in the area.
