Welcome to Cattail Chalet, at O'Connell Cabin Company, your cozy retreat nestled on the shores of Lower Holly Lake, in Stone Lake, Wisconsin. This open-concept cabin, built in 2019, boasts a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm. First, some quick notes: Parking -- We kindly ask for a 4 vehicle limit. The driveway is the only place to park and it is not very big :-). Yes, we are pet-friendly! A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. The pet fee is $150 and we kindly ask that you declare pets on your reservation. If you are thinking of bringing your own boat, ATV's, snowmobiles, etc, get a hold of me so we can talk logistics. The road coming into the cabin is tight, and so is the driveway. Cabin Highlights: \* Spacious Living: With 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a finished walk-out basement, this 2,000 sq ft haven comfortably sleeps 8 guests. We spent a couple days kayaking/canoeing and we brought tubes and tied off the dock and floated for several hours. It was so relaxing! We also had a couple bonfires. The house set up was awesome. We stayed very comfortably with 4 adults and 6 kids. The listing was just as described and includes many thoughtful details and amenities. The lake is smaller which makes it quiet and calm for paddling. Our group had a blast fishing, swimming and paddling. Host communicated very promptly and made sure we had all the needed info to make our stay amazing! A wonderful escape to the north woods! ##### Sarah K. We had our 4 adult boys and their girlfriends staying with us for our annual family cabin trip. Plenty of room for meal prep and eating. We enjoyed the kayaks and the paddleboat. We did wish for an extra set of bedding two adults men sharing a queen bed is crowded so it would have been nice to have an extra sheet and blanket to use for the couch. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and the little touches and amenities by the host are so thoughtful and appreciated! The welcome book is incredibly organized and easy to follow. The yard is meticulously kept. There was definitely a lot of love put into this home. Unfortunately, the beds are pretty uncomfortable and a thicker topper would help. The sheets and pillows could use an upgrade as well. It was our only disappointment, but did kind of affect our stay as none of us got a good night's sleep. Brad checked in on us occasionally which made us feel he truly cares about the guests' experience, which is why the unfortunate beds and bedding are so confusing. I read ALL the reviews and no one mentioned the hard beds which is a bit perplexing, unless new beds were just installed? The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed, with nice touches like the sauna and fire pit. We spent a lot of time outside; kayaking, fishing right off the dock, and just relaxing by the lake. The kids were thrilled to catch fish, and we all enjoyed hearing the loons in the evenings.
