Welcome to Cattail Cottage, at O'Connell Cabin Company, your cozy retreat nestled on the shores of Lower Holly Lake, in Stone Lake, Wisconsin. This open-concept cabin, built in 2021, boasts a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm. First, some quick notes: Yes, we are pet-friendly! A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. The pet fee is $150 and we kindly ask that you declare pets on your reservation. Parking -- We kindly ask for a 4 vehicle limit. The driveway is the only place to park and it is not very big :-). Dock -- Our dock for Cattail Cottage is located within short walking distance from the property. Check out the illustration we have in the photo gallery that shows where the dock is! If you are thinking of bringing your own boat, ATV's, snowmobiles, etc, get a hold of me so we can talk logistics. The road coming into the cabin is tight, and so is the driveway. The cottage easily accommodated our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids aged 4-11). It was extremely clean and everything was provided that he said would be provided. Everyone was very comfortable there and felt very safe and relaxed. The Black Stone grill got used for just about every meal while we were there. What a great amenity to have. Beds were comfortable, which allowed for a great night of sleep. The views of the lake through the large windowed wall and from the campfire ring were breathtaking. It’s wonderful that Brad provides these amenities. My brother brought his fishing boat. Which we launched in Sand Lake, very nearby. The parking at the house worked great for 3 cars and a boat. Everything was clean and stocked so we never ran out of necessities like toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, etc. Our stay was very relaxing with various amenities (lake, fire pit, grill, ping pong table, and more) to make it a fun trip. Being by the lake was peaceful and the space was enough to accommodate a group of 10 plus a dog without making us feel overcrowded. Everything in the cabin seems practically brand new, too! The property owner was also extremely attentive with communication and answered any questions we had very quickly, before and during our stay. You could hear loons at night before bed and in the mornings. Plenty of firewood and chairs for nightly fires. Comfy beds. Great location. Very neat, clean and in a quiet location but yet close enough to town for activities and groceries. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of games and space to keep busy. (Five adults and two dogs). It was really a beautiful area, sunsets lovely, the huge porch looking over the lake very relaxing and kayaking fun. The place is lovely, owners very responsive and I would highly recommend. Our dogs loved the dock area and chasing balls at the waters edge. Our kayak excursions to find the turtles and enjoy the water was a highlight. (We did not attempt to swim, it is more of a fishing lake) We did see the fish. Cottage is set up for anything that you would need and beautiful. ##### Diane A. My whole family enjoyed the fire pit roasting smores on the warm summer nights. The ping pong table was a hit with my teen. My husband and son even ventured on the kayaks and went around the lake a couple of times.. The house was very clean with plenty of towels and bedding The welcome book was very thorough. Brad was very helpful and stayed in contact. We found The Cottage very clean and comfortable, plenty of room for 5 adults and two dogs. It was furnished with all the amenities we needed, even firewood for an outdoor fire pit. The owner is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly to any questions you may have.
