Mimi's Downtown Cottage

Mimi's Downtown Cottage is a gem of an early 1900 house. It has a fabulous location, downtown Lodi, with many restaurants, tasting rooms, microbrews, movie theater, boutique shops and antique stores just blocks away. You can't stay any closer to downtown than this.

The Guest enjoys an entire home to themselves. The sunny cottage retains its charm with beveled glass double doors inside, lovely woodwork and original multi-pane windows. The kitchen is totally new but retains it's character with a farm house sink and touches of Blue and White Willow. The kitchen has a four burner stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator with freezer and all the utensil needed in a kitchen to make meals.

House has always been very clean. Cleaning is now based upon guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after each guest leaves.

A Jack and Jill Suite provides two bedrooms both with queen size beds. The spacious living room and dining room repeat the blue and white décor and provides a 3rd sleeping area with a queen sofa sleeper. There are many different pillows to choice from to find one of your liking. This is your home away from home. Very comfortable, relaxing surrounding. Enjoy the small private back yard equip with outdoor table, seating's and BBQ. A Laundry room with washer and dryer are there for guests to use. A smart television with cable and wifi is available for your use.

There is a long driveway and off street parking right in front of the cottage. Not more than 50 yards is the Lodi Police Department.

Come enjoy and explore beautiful Lodi and the surrounding area. Lodi is centrally located in Northern California. Explore the foothills and old mining towns. Head up to the Sierra Nevada's. Enjoy the liveliness of the bay area with San Francisco less than 2 hours away.

Mimi's family has been in Lodi 5 generations and are involved in vineyards and the wine industry. There are small touches in the house which reflects her love of grapes and wine. Those who rent the cottage will be pleased at how integrated the cottage is with the down town area. Mimi has the love of travel and has visited more than 38 countries.

Location

We especially enjoyed the closeness to Old Town Lodi and the walkability of the charming neighborhood. Got a lot of relaxation time on the patio, too. We like to read at night and the cottage deserves a shout-out for the excellent interior lighting.

A Wonderful Place to Stay in Lodi

This was our first VRBO experience. It was wonderful! The place was clean and bright and just a delight to stay in. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there, and well organized. Our guests for the stay were also very impressed and happy with the experience.

Mimi's Downtown Cottage is a quaint, true-to-era cottage within walking distance of all the great shops, wine bars, breweries and restaurants in Lodi. When my wife saw the house she said " I want to live here!"

My parents live in Lodi, I consider it my second home. We had to come up recently for my Mother's celebration of life. We decided not to stay with family, because of so many out of town visitors, and we just wanted a place of our own. Mimi's cottage was our sanctuary at a difficult time. The proximity to downtown Lodi is is perfect,yet the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The cottage itself is beautiful,comfortable,and well appointed. I can't give high enough praise for Mimi's cottage. We'd love to stay there again, if Mimi would have us.

Location, Location, Location

The very best things about Mimi’s Cottage are it’s walking distance from downtown Lodi and the moderate cost. Add to this a charming atmosphere with well chosen antiques and comfortable furniture and what’s not to love? The outdoor space is private and nicely furnished. The kitchen is adequately furnished and stocked. The single bathroom between the two bedrooms is small, but it’s a small house. The tub/shower is standard sized and there is more than enough hot water. Mimi is an unobtrusive, attentive host. There are scads of local area magazines and maps to help you plan your stay. The downtown wineries are more than happy to hold wine purchases so you don’t have to carry them home if you’re walking. We use VRBO a lot and find Mimi’s Cottage a comfortable, welcoming place. And, man, does the location make it great.

Wonderful cottage

Three girlfriends met here to celebrate our October birthdays (annual event for the past 40 years). We loved this cottage and the town of Lodi! Walking distance to restaurants and the historic downtown. Cottage itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Mimi is a great hostess, friendly and helpful.

Perfect Downtown Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay in this charming and well appointed cottage. Mimi was very responsive and helpful and the cottage was clean and comfortable. The location is great for walking to downtown and the Library is just across the street, which was helpful when we had to print out a document. Lodi was a great wine tasting area and we would highly recommend a visit.
