It is merely steps to the beach as well as the heart of the village. Park your car for the length of your stay and walk to everything you need: the surf, restaurants, boutiques and grocery. The site is unusually large for the neighborhood, so enjoys a private setting and plenty of parking. The outdoor areas are set back from the neighbors and spacious enough for large family gatherings. The lot has frontage on two streets with electric charging stations on both and plenty of on- and off-street parking for guests. The house was constructed in 2007 with an open plan and indoor/outdoor living concept. The house is nestled between a large garden and a restored riparian zone (creek) on the other side. In 2022 a second story was built that added more living and sleeping spaces as well as outdoor balcony and heated terrace and views to the ocean and the mountain. The heart of the house is the well-equipped open kitchen. The features include; a vegetable sink with filtered water, all stainless appliances and easy open layout with plenty of work stations so your guest are free to pitch in. The connecting dining and living rooms open out onto both patio and deck for seamless outdoor living. There are three private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The primary bedroom (#1) downstairs has a king-size bed, a double shower and adjoining home office with monitor and door to the deck. Bedroom (#2) downstairs has queen bed with private bathroom and Dutch door, opening to the creek side. The upstairs primary bedroom (#4) has king size bed, private bathroom, cathedral ceiling and views to the mountain. There are three more sleeping arrangements that can be semi-private or private. The coop (bedroom # 3), is a super fun two-story space with French doors to the exterior, a twin, a trundle, and convertible full on first level. In addition, this space has a delightful lofted platform on the second level with a twin bed and views of the coast to the south. This room is an ideal bunkroom for early risers because it also has the interior stairs to the second level. The big room (bedroom #5) includes cathedral ceilings, view to ocean, two sofas with memory foam mattresses; an open lofted space with two queens; and en-suite bathroom. This airy space is also connected to the terrace with outdoor stairs connecting back to main living space. Lastly, the sofa in the living room downstairs folds out into a queen. This room has heavy velvet curtains for privacy from dining room and kitchen. The original house was constructed with universal design standards: level-in access; bathroom sink, tub, shower and toilet all discretely designed for wheel chair access. More highlights include: radiant floor heat throughout, gas fire place, outdoor gas fire pit, nine exterior doors for easy access to the outside spaces, sky lights for light-filled house, laundry, outdoor spa and two outdoor showers. The location was ideal. The beach was a few steps from the backyard and the surf and kayak rental shop was just steps away. A short walk into town for pastries, ice cream and coffee. This year we selected Solar-Powered Dream Vacation Property for a five-night stay. We had a wonderful stay and the house won many votes for the ‘best ever’.Check-in was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. There was a small issue with the hot tub Don had the technician there with a few hours to resolve it. We found the house extremely well equipped (linens, beach towels and toys, games/puzzles/toys, kitchen pots, pans, and utensils, etc.). The kitchen was extremely functional and cooked all meals at the house and shared the large dining table. The location is very convenient with loads of parking. The beach was less than a five-minute walk and we took full advantage. Even though there are houses nearby, the house was extremely quiet and peaceful. There are numerous comfortable places for folks to gather or to have alone time. The kitchen was fully stocked and the entire house was clean. Everything in Stinson is just a few minutes walk away. Four en suite bedrooms, one with a comfy pull-out couch (all with beautiful hotel-like bathrooms) were perfect for the parents and their littles. My husband and I gave up bedroom privacy but still enjoyed excellent twin mattresses (and sleep) in the “stairway” access room! Doors and walls provided excellent sound barriers so adults could party after littles went to bed. Outside patio was perfect. Kitchen had everything needed for meal preparation. Large fridge and ample freezer space. Excellent washer and dryer. Steps from the ocean and sand!! Seashell hunting is abundant. And lastly, a short walk from town with restaurants and kid park!! We were able to cook each of our three nights in the well equipped kitchen. Walking to the beach was simple due to the great location. Each room has access to their own bathroom and there is a lot of privacy. The house is well stocked and the outdoor space is fantastic. We appreciate how quickly the owner communications were too. We were a group of 14 friends and family on our annual beach trip. Don's house had beds for everyone (unique find on the beach)! Everything we needed for our group seafood dinner was already in the house. The indoor "living/family" area is small for such a large house, but we were able to spill out and enjoy the very generous outdoor living area. It was clean, well-stocked, ample parking, and Don's communication was always prompt. The location can't be beat - morning coffee walk on the beach, afternoon nap on the beach, stroll to watch the sunset from the beach - back and forth all day long! Highly recommend! ##### Valerie R. This was our second time renting here this year! The space is amazing- the bedrooms with ensuites, and the little bedroom downstairs were perfect for our family. Everyone had space and comfort. The indoor living space and kitchen worked very well for cooking, socializing and relaxing. The outdoor space was gorgeous-garden, fire area, small balcony and large balcony, BBQ grill, and hot tub were all wonderful. Lastly, the location is perfect too! A quick walk down the Calle to the beach, or a quick walk to the library, market, or restaurants, all a 5-7 minute walk via the beach or road. Everyone felt very much at home. He was the best landlord--attentive, responsive and available. The kitchen is well stocked and there are multiple types of sleeping areas in addition to the bedrooms. The washer and dryer were handy, though we brought our own laundry soap. The solar power and floor heating is impressive, the hot tub well cared for and the BBQ's well maintained. The kitchen cabinets are rather worn and there is a loud droning noise that started each evening from about 10PM to 11:30, not sure if that was the Tesla batteries recharging or what. Overall it was a fabulous house to have, walking distance to the waves, Parkside restaurant and town. thank you Don! ##### Nancy D. The location can’t be beat. The house itself is spacious, beautifully decorated, very clean, and very welcoming and comfortable. I stayed here with 9 friends for a few days and then family, including little ones, arrived for a couple days. The house worked well for adults and children.
