« We had a wonderful time at this historic house. Mount Gretna is such a welcoming community and having the tall trees surrounding this cozy home is a one-of-a-kind experience. The rental needs some rennovations, but that's to be expected for a home this old. Also, the space is much smaller than it looked in the listing photos. We would love to visit again during the summer months! »

« My husband & I enjoyed a quiet relaxing weekend away at this cozy cottage. We visited a nearby farmers market to make our suppers and breakfasts while we were there. A Wolfe sanctuary, pretzel factory, the outlets & many other great sites. This was the perfect place to call home for a couple days. »

« The owners of the property carefully thought through all the amenities provided. We had what we needed for a very comfortable stay. We didn't think we needed an old school arcade until we had one! Place was wonderfully decorated, felt very welcoming. Communication with owners was easy. Only thing I didn't quite anticipate was the high deposit and how long VRBO holds the deposit before refunding back (14 days). Other than that, we hope to return when we're back in the area. »

« This was our 4th time staying in the Bird House and we had another enjoyable time. We love the country location it makes us feel like home. This time we enjoyed the York Herb and Garden Festival on Friday and spent a lot of time visiting the Amish Greenhouses. We cook most of our meals to spend time with our dogs but we did order take our from Caruso's Italian Restaurant and it was great and only 5 minutes away so still very hot when we arrived back to the house. We would highly recommend it and...

« Our family was in town for a figure skating competition and this property was a delight!. The interior is modern and updated with attention to every detail. Very comfortable beds and all the amenities you could possibly need. It is located in a nice community with lots of walking paths. It was cold and rainy for our stay, but we hope to return in the summer to take advantage of the beach and rails to trails spur (only a short walk from the cottage). « I stayed at Butterfly Cottage for several weeks during a work assignment in the area. Going back to Mount Gretna every evening was much better than a hotel, and the hosts of Butterfly Cottage thoughtful, communicated well and made sure the cottage was clean and well-appointed. I look forward to coming back soon. »

« We really liked staying at this charming house. Plenty of room for the five of us and the doggie decor was warm and friendly. Getting to the front porch of the house (via GPS) was a bit of a challenge since Google Maps didn't know that there were footpaths leading to it but once we found it all was perfect! »

Not only was it a convenient 3-minute drive from the venue, but we were very close to downtown Lancaster and all the weekend festivities. Having our own private entry was a bonus due to our early flight home on check-out day. Catherine was quick to respond to any inquiries and was a gracious host.
