The fully stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, a barista-style coffee station, and a quiet dishwasher for easy cleanup. Enjoy relaxing in the main living room or head to the separate game room with a daybed, Xbox Series S, and console table. Outdoors, unwind in the barrel sauna, soak in the hot tub, or gather around the firepit with scenic views of private acres. Conveniently located near local shops and attractions, this five-star family-friendly getaway is your perfect Pocono escape. (Note: No livestock on-site, but neighboring dairy cows may wander nearby.) ◆◆◆Please Note◆◆◆ This is a 2 bedroom house, however the master is in the loft and is open to the kitchen below. While we are a ranch style property, there is no live stock currently on the premises, however our neighbors do have dairy cows that you might see grazing next door from time to time. Not all of the 10 acres of grass is cut, usually we cut around the house and a path to the pond. ◆◆◆Staying in the Pocono Mountains◆◆◆ If this is your first time visiting the Poconos, we want to ensure you understand what staying in the mountains entails. This house is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by trees and nature. As a result, you may encounter wildlife, as this is their home and we are merely guests. Wildlife may include flying insects, spiders, ants, squirrels, flying squirrels, mice, foxes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, snakes, turtles, coyotes, and black bears. Smaller creatures and insects can occasionally find their way inside depending on the outside conditions. We have monthly exterminator visits to minimize this, but being in the mountains, anything is possible. Additionally, please note that the mountain infrastructure differs from that of the city. Small wind or rain storms can occasionally cause power or internet outages in specific areas, including our home. Power outages may affect the water supply as we are on wells and the well pumps need power to work. Usually, these outages are restored within 8-10 hours, which is a quick turnaround given the weather conditions. For outages lasting less than 24 hours, no refund or compensation will be provided. For outages exceeding 24 hours, compensation will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Lastly, please be aware that extreme heat or cold waves can put stress on the house's heating or cooling systems, and these systems may struggle to keep up during very high or very low temperatures. ◆◆◆Winter Bookings◆◆◆ During winter months, it is highly recommended to have a vehicle with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) or 4x4 capabilities due to potential heavy snowfall. ◆◆◆Supplies◆◆◆ We provide a starter pack of household essentials (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish detergent). If the property includes a dishwasher, washer, and dryer, we also provide cleaning agents for those. Guests staying for longer durations or with larger groups should bring additional supplies. Personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), q-tips, deodorants, or other personal care products are not provided. The house includes cooking ware (pots, pans, plates, utensils, baking dishes), but guests need to bring personal grocery items (seasonings, flour, sugar). ◆◆◆Pet Rules◆◆◆ Keep Dogs Leashed: Dogs must be leashed at all times while outside. No Overnight Outdoor Stays: Do not leave your dog outside overnight. Clean Up After Your Dog: Please pick up after your dog when it goes potty. The only issue we had was with the hot tub. The water was changed the day we arrived but the sides of the hot tub were not wiped out when the water was changed so they were still dirty. Not to the point we couldn’t use it but not as clean as it could be. Barrel sauna would have been great to use but was not operating at the time of booking. All that said we would book this cabin again. Love the cows and and the loft bedroom. Interior pics are accurate. We especially LOVED the decor. We stayed in the upstairs loft and the bed was extremely comfortable. Waking up to the nature view was awesome. The house was equipped with basically everything you could need. We LOVED the game table. Complaints: Refrigerator ran loud all night. Not great for light sleepers. Sauna did not work which was a bummer. The hot tub served it's purpose, but you can tell it has been used hard as the surface was quite grimy. The house is closer to an interstate than expected, which brought on a noisier outside than we'd hoped for. Finally, we wish the host provided us with some important info PRIOR to our stay, rather than the first night we got there. As we were trying to relax, my phone dinged on and off all evening, with 6-7 emails regarding different rules and pointers about parts of the property. I did not make checking email a priority and because of this, we missed a suggestion to leave the faucet drip. Maybe that's common sense to some but it just didn't cross our mind at the time and we woke up to frozen pipes/no H20 our last morning. Had this info been relayed to us PRIOR to arrival, and in one concise email- I likely would have caught this suggestion and avoided this mishap. I shouldn't be expected to have my face in my phone when we are trying to enjoy what we paid for. Overall, we still had a blast and I'd still recommend staying here. We just happened to be driving through the country relocating and it was placed right in the perfect spot for us to take a break after a long drive. Not too far from the highway but far enough away you feel completely alone and unbothered. Beautiful views and sunsets! It can get a little warm because of all the windows and great natural light but the air conditioners really earned their keep at night! Would return if ever going back in this area. The hot tub was nice and the location was nice and private. A few drawbacks: the grass needed mowing very badly. It was so long that our kids couldn't really play outside. Also, it should be mentioned specifically that there is no air conditioning in the house. It ended up alright because it was in the 70s when we stayed, but it was pretty hot in the house during the day. Earlier that week it was in the 90s outside. Another thing to note is that there is no table, just 4 seats at the counter. For a house that sleeps a lot more, this seems odd.
