No Smoking or Pets Allowed Winterwood #6 is a serene Steamboat vacation rental setting. This spacious, 1,604 sq. ft. two bedroom, three bathroom and three level townhome is only steps to Burgess Creek and is ideally situated across the street from National Forest and the Creekside biking and hiking trail. Enter the property on the middle level into a mud room with a bench and room to store your gear. This leads you into the fully stocked kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances. Right off the kitchen is a roomy living area offering ample, comfortable seating. Kick back and watch the big screen TV or warm up by the gas fireplace. The dining table seats six along with two bar stools at the kitchen counter. Off of the living area is a covered deck overlooking National Forest. Enjoy a coffee, cocktail or a meal in the tranquil surroundings. There is also a deck for year-round use. The main level has an updated full bathroom with a tub shower combo, plus a washer and dryer for your convenience. There's also an electric grill on the deck that's handy for cooking meals at home. The roomy master en suite sits on the top floor with a comfy king bed, smart tv for streaming, vaulted ceilings and lots of storage including a dresser and a closet. The beautifully updated full bathroom offers a large walk in shower. The second bedroom is on the lower level and features a full over queen bunk bed, a smart tv for streaming, as well a full size sleeper sofa. There is an updated full bathroom with a walk in shower on this level too. Seclusion and privacy yet so close to the summer and winter recreation, along with the updated interiors makes Winterwood the perfect mountain retreat. Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. Fans are provided for your comfort. We have had 3 houses in Steamboat over the last 30 years and sold a couple of years ago as we are not living there full time. We have an office there however and come for around 4 mo a year and rent. All rentals have been great except for this one. Very very dark location in a canyon (we thought this may be positive as its hot in the summer but no, it was just dark.) Carpets needed cleaning and are old, 2nd bedroom sparten, cold and dark, kitchen extremely cheaply suppplied, even cleaning materails poor. (we bought our own broom and mop). Owner and HOA clearly not interested in quality and property overall in poor repair with outdoor neglected and stairs in need of fixing. We told the rental company, they tried but HOA didnt respond. Garbage overflowed every week as not nearly enough capacity. They need to pay for a 2nd pick up or build a second trash container. You can do FAR better than this for same cost. While on the deck we saw a fox run by, pausing momentarily to look at us, then scampering off into the woods. On the edge of town, we saw a moose roaming across a grassy lot. The shuttle service was great. Made it easy to get to the resort. The property was clean and big enough to fit our family of six. Check in was a breeze. Great communication and assistance while there. All around a great place to stay in Steamboat. ##### John M. The rental was clean, cozy and well thought out. The owners put a lot of consideration in making sure everything you would need for your stay was there. This is a perfect place to stay whether it's a group of friends, a couples retreat and/or a family with children. The location was great and we loved listening to the sound of the creek from the patio. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this rental.
