It all starts with its tremendous location, where you are steps away from the property's gondola that takes you directly to the base area. You are only 3 miles from downtown and can easily get there or other locations within Steamboat with an on-call shuttle (winter only). You won’t find better amenities in the boat. The pool area is one of Steamboat’s best, offering a large, heated pool and 3 rocky mountain style hot tubs, all with gorgeous mountain views. You’ll also have access to a state of the art fitness center, game room (with a pool table and foosball table) and a beautiful community grilling area with 2 large gas grills and a fire pit. Trailhead Lodge 2112 is perfect for a couple, small family or even two couples. The unit itself features mountain modern, high-end fixtures and finishes throughout and offers comfortable seating. Sit back and relax by the gas fireplace and/or the flat screen TV on a cushy sectional and eat, drink and play some cards at the dining table. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and everything you’ll need to cook a meal. There is a private balcony off the living area. The master has a king bed and it’s own flat screen TV. There is a full bathroom, accessible from the master bedroom and the living area that has a double vanity and a tub shower combo. A washer/dryer is in the unit for your convenience. The hot tubs were great and they have coffee in the lobby starting at 8:00 each morning. The gondola to the base of Steamboat Ski Resort is adjacent to the building, great for skiing or just walking around the shops/restaurants. Also, they have a parking garage, just note the parking spaces are small. It was a short visit to Steamboat (too short:) but I enjoyed Trailhead Lodge. Great spot close to town and it has amazing amenities (really nice pool, 3 beautiful hot tubs, a wonderful gym and garage parking (key in the winter). The Lodge offers complimentary coffee, tea and popcorn during certain hours. Nice touch! I walked the Burgess Creek Trail (paved) up to the mountain base area and it was so quick! Less than a mile and took less than 18 minutes. There is a great pizza spot (Brick) next door to Trailhead Lodge which is so convenient. Can’t wait to come back in the winter and take advantage of the Wildflower gondola that sits next to the Lodge and takes you up to the base area! The 1bedroom unit I was in was very comfortable - bed was just right and having the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker (with complimentary coffee) was perfect for me. Trailhead Lodge's amenities are outstanding. The outdoor pool area, complete with three hot tubs, became our favorite spot to relax after exhilarating days on the trails.
