The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We were able to walk to everything. The location is great. Due to this being a historical building, the bathroom was tiny and had no storage and barely any place to hang a towel. Not only is it lovely, quaint, and beautifully maintained, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The customer service was truly above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced – every staff member went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The breakfast snacks were outstanding and a wonderful touch that made the mornings even better. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I will absolutely recommend this hotel to others. It's a 1940s-era building with all the quirks you might anticipate--smallish rooms, limited counter space, etc. However, it also has all the ambience of an inn you might find in Austria--library-like lobby, fireplace, sounds coming in from the street, etc. A handfull of larger rooms are available for familes. The rooms are small but for my husband and I for 3 days it was just fine. The staff is very nice and helpful. They had free bikes available to borrow and a water cooler in the lobby. The water was an unexpected bonus. We were able to easily fill up water bottles and bladders before hikes without having to go buy water. Easy convenient parking along side the building. Short walk to restaurants and shopping as well as to the park and the trail by the river. The room was clean and had all the amenities you would need, but this is an old building and the room was very small.
