The near by bus stop is very handy for getting around town, including the ski area, downtown, grocery stores and more Spacious 2-car garage & an additional spot on the driveway - RVs, campers, trailers, etc are not allowed to be parked on the driveway or street per the neighborhood HOA. No smoking The Apres Ski Retreat is a spectacular setting for your Steamboat vacation. The mountain and Yampa Valley views from the balconies and inside this top floor unit are unforgettable. It lives like a single family home (only shared with downstairs rental) and is perfect for multiple and extended families or up to 5 couples (it will comfortably sleep 13 adults). You are right up the hill from the gondola/base area skiing, restaurants, pubs, shopping & more (.7 mile) and a block to free bus route (5 minute bus ride to ski). You enter the unit though the beautifully updated kitchen, which features cherry wood cabinetry, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances and is well appointed with everything you would need to cook and serve a meal. Connecting the kitchen and the living area is fantastic dining area with a gorgeous wood dining table, 4 chairs and booth seating. There are also 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter, offering ample seating, but 2 more chairs and a leaf to extend the table are available if desired. Kick back in the living area and take in the amazing views of the mountains and Yampa Valley, while warming up by the wood fireplace and watching the large flat screen TV. There is plenty of comfortable seating on a sofa, loveseat and recliner. Enjoy outdoor hot tubbing, lounging and dining on the numerous decks around the property. We also have sleds and snowball makers in the garage for you to use during your stay. This cozy, mountain retreat has updated decor, wood doors and trim throughout. There are three bedrooms on the main level. The master suite has a king bed, amazing view and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom includes both a walk in shower and a seperate tub shower combo as well as two vanities. Bedroom two also has a king bed and fantastic view. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and nice view. Bedroom 2 and 3 share a full bathroom with a tub shower combo. The top floor offers the 2nd living area, the 4th bedroom and a full bathroom with a tub shower combo. The 2nd living area has a large flat screen TV. The bedroom has a bunk bed, full on bottom, twin on top and another full bed and can sleep 5 people. All bedrooms have very comfortable beds. Attached spacious 2-car garage on the left side of the bottom level, and one parking space on the driveway. Most mountain residences, including this property, do not have air conditioning. The management was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The house was spacious, with an awesome wrap-around porch that we loved. It also had a large garage, which was a nice convenience. One thing to note is that the floors are quite thin, so you can hear footsteps from the floor above. This wasn’t an issue for us in the top unit, but it might be something to consider if you’re staying in the bottom unit (Unit A). The 2nd living area/loft/bunkroom was perfect so the kids had an area and the adults could be downstairs. The outdoor wrap around deck with private hot tub was the nicest we have experienced in our many years renting in Steamboat. We only had a couple needs from management while staying and they responded instantly. The view from the deck is UNMATCHED! Thank you for having us. ##### Phil H. Feb 18, 2024 #### Great Space for a Group The home was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a ski weekend. The location was a 3 minute walk to the free bus system which made getting to the mountain and downtown for dinners a breeze. The home also has amazing views of the valley with it's tall ceilings letting in tons of natural light. The garage was plenty big and stocked with firewood so we could have cozy fires going at night while we played card games. The hot tub was wonderful and the kitchen was fully stocked. The best part was the views off the porch, where we saw a mama bear and her two cubs roam one early morning. Two things iTrip may want to address: The router in the master bedroom has a loud whirring, humming noise. We had to unplug it in order to get some sleep. First thing was the view of the valley was amazing. The deck was very large and wrapped around the house on 3 sides. The hot tub was awesome and ready for us when we arrived. The house was super nice with pretty high end finishes in the kitchen and bathrooms. The place was huge with enough room for us all to have our own space. The kitchen was decked out with a great fridge, water, ice, coffee makers, and all the cooking utensils that you need. There were plenty of towels and everything you need to shower. The location was adjacent to a bus stop and just a short car trip to downtown Steamboat. We all had a great trip and would come back in the future. ##### Thomas P. Parking is a problem if you have more than one vehicle. The guest in the other unit has been there 4 months and is rude and a jerk about the parking issue. He claims he has 3 reserved parking spots, which is not the policy. A few maintenance items needed attention, but nothing major. We had 10 family members in this unit, and it was quite comfortable. The view was spectacular with the fall colors. And in the morning, it was like, cue the hot air balloon, that was such a treat to see! Whenever I had a question or request, the host was Johnny on the spot answering.
