It was a GREAT stay. Has a AMAZING view. Everything works, internet, power, refrigerator, stove, and water heater. Has clothes washer and dryer but didn't use. Would be nice if there was a hair dryer, and shampoo's similar to what most places provide.
The hot tub is a good size. It worked but it reportedly needed a new control board per the owner, and was limited to 98 degrees. Otherwise, it was hot enough at this temperature, but some like it hotter.
The front of the house is lit by what appears to be a street light. So you can see out and around the cabin.
I would avoid driving up and down the hill at night until you get used to the road. Driving it in the day light at least gives you a view of the whole road, and it's much easier. However, my first drive up was in the dark, and it's really dark on this road. I would recommend something with a higher ride like an SUV. Our front wheel wheel drive RAV4 with Traction control slipped at the top of the hills. So you need to carry the momentum to avoid possibly not making it up the first time. However, it's not that bad, and they do warn you in the advertisement.
If we go back to Virginia we will more than likely consider using again. I found the cabin in good shape overall, and my complaints are minor, but anyone renting should be aware of the road up to the cabin. Once you get used to the road the view makes up for a lot. The owner does warn you about the road in their advertisement.
My opinions.
