The Capri by Fraser is an average to above average hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean,and quiet, but overall the place needs a 'makeover'. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and very professional. One thing that I found self-serving was that you were REQUIRED to join their hospitality/loyalty program to be allowed an early check-in. Totally unnecessary. The hotel comports to be a "green" property, i.e., they don't make-up rooms daily. That was annoying because you have to make your own bed (I'm on vacation) and you have to make sure the towels get hung so they dry. They only made the room up once -- stayed for 5 nites. Had to request additional towels AND tissue. The location isn't the best, but manageable given the proximity of the busses, Trams and U. Had the breakfast buffet one morning. It was very good! Grapefruit juice was exceptional!! Would recommend a street view, such as it is. The back view is of an arena -- concrete behemoth. The a/c left a little to be desired..fortunately the had a fan available. No face clothes in the bathroom - BYO. Overall, it was a 'B'/'B+'.

Great place to stay, professional staff and geeat surroundings

Friendly, helpful staff. Tried to check in early, but room wasn't ready, so staff very kindly allowed me the use of a locker. Forgot a travel plug, which they also let me borrow. Air-conditioning in the room was excellent room was minimalist, but not a problem as it had everything I needed. Shower was fantastic. Buffet breakfast was good value for money. Would deffo come back.

We stayed at Hotel Deutsche Eiche during our visit to Munich. Upon arrival, we learned that it is a well-known LGBTQ+-friendly hotel that also operates a historic men’s sauna. This did not affect our opinion of the hotel itself. However, we believe booking websites should more clearly explain that the spa facilities are exclusively for men. The hotel listings simply mention a spa, which could lead some guests to assume it is available to everyone. Parking was by far the most challenging aspect of our stay. The street in front of the hotel is extremely narrow and functions as a two-way road, making it difficult to unload luggage safely. Although we had reserved a paid parking space in advance, it was approximately a quarter-mile from the hotel. We wish the hotel had informed us beforehand that there is a temporary unloading area in front of the property. Traveling with four large suitcases, we briefly parked across the street to unload, which unfortunately obstructed pedestrians and created a stressful situation. Our room on the fourth floor was spacious and clean, although somewhat dated. Guests should note that the elevator does not provide direct access to every floor, so luggage must still be carried up or down a short flight of stairs. The hotel welcomed us with two glasses of champagne and complimentary drink vouchers for the rooftop bar, which was a thoughtful touch.
