This on-island managed non-smoking OCEANFRONT 2BR/2BA condo is situated in the prime POOLFRONT building 16 that fronts a tranquil oceanfront pool on beautiful Bolongo beach in St. Thomas. Condominium is decorated in tropical decor, and enjoys year-round warm weather, island breezes and excellent oceanfront views of Bolongo Bay's tropical beauty and morning sunrises.
2 restaurants onsite! Onsite Mims Seaside Bistro is open for dinner (all you can eat steamed shrimp on Thursdays, steak and lobster nightly). Iggies Oasis is open at the Bolongo swim-up pool bar for food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and cool beverages (sip, swim, eat, sip, swim, repeat) - we love it.

Escape the crowds here ~ Free secure Wi-Fi for our personal guests to stay connected! Also onsite: St Thomas Diving Club (dive shop/boat for diving tours), and Heavenly Days catamaran day or sunset sails. Nearby are Magen's beach, Lindqvist Beach, and so beaches and attractions, Coral World (with swim with dolphins or sea lions), Pirate Museum (with our own Capt Jack Sparrow), as well as St John beaches by short car/person ferries and Water Island (Honeymoon Beach) by water taxi.

This Watergate Villa is individually owned, configured & thoughtfully furnished/decorated for the comforts of home. Not only is this condo situated with the BEST location in the property (DIRECT WALKOUT TO THE OCEANFRONT POOL), but owners and manager pride in providing amenities for our guests, with many happy return guests each year. This condo is perfect accommodations for couples or families vacationing together. This two bedroom condo accommodates 4 persons perfectly (and up to 6 persons). Condominium has spacious 1100 sq feet, well-designed layout with each bed/bathroom suite to its own to promote privacy. The 2BR/2BA condo has two air-conditioned bedrooms set apart from each other, and an air-conditioned living/dining/kitchen area. It has a pull-out sofa option/fee for the extra guest.

Condo has an oceanfront master suite with King-size bed that showcases breathtaking oceanfront views and access to the 30' balcony/patio, as well as an A/C and ceiling fan. The 2nd bedroom can be configured as two (2) twin beds or together as a king-size bed to your preference. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a tub/shower and dressing area.

Two (2) delightful oceanfront restaurants are right on property. Mim's Seaside Bistro, where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat shrimp, Caribbean lobster, and surf-turf right at the ocean's edge, and Iggies Oasis at the Bolongo swim-up bar. Soon to return is IGGIE'S on the Beach for lunch & nightly dinner themes. IGGIE'S has been voted St. Thomas's #1 beach bar in Caribbean Travel & Life magazine, and our onsite Bolongo Beach has been featured in premier travel magazines, including Caribbean Travel & Life and Islands and two selected properties on HGTV House Hunters Int'l in recent years. For those of you who may want to dine in and enjoy the spectacular views and privacy of your own villa, the condominium is equipped with a full kitchen with the appliances and cookware that you have at home (refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender, etc). A dining area adjoins the living room with a glass-top dining table with 6 chairs, in addition to patio/balcony seating for exterior oceanfront dining.

This prime condo in oceanfront/poolfront building 16 provides the best location on Bolongo Beach. The close proximity of the condo to the tranquil pool and beach will appeal to parents and children alike. No need to pack and carry a cooler for the day. From the pool, you are within footsteps of your condominium for cool refreshments. And at the pool is direct walk-on access to the beach. By staying at this condo in villa 16, there's no walking thru the hot parking lot or many steps, as with a lot of the other units or other properties. If you have an infant, and bring your baby monitor, it works at the pool.

This condo is a perfect home base in St. Thomas & to St. John and surrounding islands. Within ten minutes by taxi or rental car are grocery stores, K-Mart, duty-free shopping in Charlotte Amalie, Saint John ferry in Red Hook, championship golf course, Magen's Bay, and the airport. St John is a must see and is only a short ferry ride via car or person ferry from Red Hook (a nice day is packing the cooler, beach towels and portable chairs provided in the condo and taking your rental car to St. John to explore & snorkel all the beaches).

An added benefit for St. Thomas is that No Passport is Required for US Citizens to the US Virgin Islands!!! All you need is a US birth certificate.

Property could use some updating but other than that everything was good. Scott was a fantastic host, extremely knowledgeable, responsive and kind. The pool is right outside your front slider and there is a great restaurant for food and drinks. Huge bonus is that Izzy’s is right next door just a 2 minute walk down the beach.

Good Vacation - This is a nice place. The furniture looks old and worn, but they have paid close attention to details. They have thought of everything you might need on your first day, so you won’t have to rush to stores as soon as you arrive.

The Condo unit is first floor, right by the pool. The unit was recently painted, the beds were comfortable with new bedding. More fluffy pillows for the beds are needed. The bathrooms need to be totally redone. One bathtub had white duct tape surrounding the tub where it meets the 3 walls. Don't know if the tape covered mold, or something else. The kitchen needs new cutlery, pots/pans and a new microwave. The microwave had either rust inside or baked on brown food. There is not the normal array of cooking accessories (cutting board, frying pan, whisk, updated can opener, more than one wine glass, etc). There is no ice maker in the refrigerator and the washer/dryer is not in the unit. The property manager, Scott, is attentive and helpful. The owner needs to invest some money into improving this unit. It is in definite need of a refresh. This unit has potential to be great if given some much needed attention. We enjoyed the two restaurants within close walking distance.

Cleanliness was ridiculous. Definitely needs updating. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO’s and this made me change my mind about your properties. The pictures do not show the truth about the properties. I’d at least pay more attention if I was you and check them out personally.

Bolongo Estate

The views from the property were beautiful but I was traveling with an elderly relative who needed AC and the AC in her area wasn't working. In addition, the TVs did not work and the placement smelled moldy. The inconveniences were present and my family complained about these issues which put a damper on the time there. I hope that this location will communicate more clearly about the parts of the condo that need to be improved. Needs paint and maintenance.

Wonderful Getaway!

We absolutely loved the condo. It’s very peaceful and right next to Mim’s which by the way has the most incredible food! Condo was everything we thought it would be. So nice right in front of the pool for our grandson and as an early riser each morning I enjoyed my coffee on the patio watching the sun come up with the waves coming in. Will definitely stay here again.

This place needs a BIG TIME RENOVATION!!! It’s old, it’s stinks when the ac is not on, one of the bathroom has tape around the inside of the tub. The sofa and the dining room chairs itch your skin when you sit on them. You can smell mold throughout the property. We couldn’t open the sliding door from the living room because the screen door only had a frame and no screen to keep out the mosquitos and we needed the fresh air to pass through because of the smell. It was just terrible and over priced for what is being charged. I wouldn’t pay more than $50 per night for that junk!!!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!!! And it’s sad because with a bit of money injected into it it have so much potential!!!!

Amazing location, we loved it

We went with another couple to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. We've stayed at the West gate buildings a few different times and this was our first in this unit. Best spot to be in, lower level, walk out to the pool. Unit was very clean, only one burner worked on the stove which was a bit difficult to cook breakfast, we did notify the management team of this. Beds were super comfortable, 4 pillows per bed. AC worked great, nice and cold. Ample amount of beach towels and bath towels. Limited cookware, need to add a baking sheet for the oven. Snorkel gear and folding chairs were supplied along with a large cooler for the beach. Chairs on the deck can easily slide around at night when the tile gets damp, so be careful of this. Otherwise, we had a great time, great stay and would definitely rent this unit again.

The condo is what was expected, nothing fancy and a place to lay our head at night. The kitchen and bathroom areas are a little rough. The kitchen appliances mostly work, some burners on the stove do not. There was limited kitchen towels or sponges so doing dishes was rough. The bathroom doors didn’t quite shut and no floor mates for showers. Both bathtubs are very slippery. Bedrooms were clean and mattresses ok. The extra room can be a king or 2 twins, we asked for twins and it was left as a king and no extra linens. Plenty of towels - and onsite laundry. Location to the pool was amazing, beach was close, but not the type of beach you relax and swim at, not sandy. Cooler, chairs and some beach accessories were included. Overall good stay for the $$

Not worth the money

We’ve stayed at these condos 3 times before at similar price point. This unit was so unloved! We left after 1st night as the mold, old air conditioning units was making us feel sick. Did not ask for refund, we were so anxious to get out after 1 night! Place has not been updated in, what appeared, years. Rust on every appliance, paint sprayed on oven making it unusable, musty smell to furniture and plastic patio furniture broken. DO NOT recommend staying here - it felt like a dungeon.

This was an interesting experience. First, the positives: the unit was very clean and the decor was nice. We appreciated the fresh flowers. When we reached out to Scott with issues he was very responsive and kind. The pool and view are outstanding! We often had the pool to ourselves. And we loved seeing the iguanas on the lawn and on our patio. The AC units cooled effectively. The negatives: This unit is badly in need of repair. There's a hole in the wall with wires sticking out in bedroom 2, a LARGE closet door in the hall that nearly fell on our kid bc the hardware is missing (door is just leaning on the other door). The bathtubs are not safe to stand in--the tub floors are squishy causing a high probability of falling. I had to help my mother shower every day- not exactly what I was looking forward to. There's a leak near the vanity by bathroom #2 and the cabinet smells badly of mildew/mold. There was no coffee in the unit and no tupperware or lidded containers in which to store leftovers. If you're going to stay here, either plan to spend TONs of money on cab rides to go eat, or plan on finding a way to bring back a bunch of groceries. There's one restaurant on site and it's good but limited. There's one more restaurant within walking distance but the path is uneven--not good for anyone with limited mobility. ZERO restaurants were willing to deliver to this location, even the pizza place located 1.5 miles away.

This villa at Bolongo is amazing! The amnities supplied by the owner were super helpful! We loved every single minute! Until we needed to do laundry (way to expensive), ran out of bath towels (and didnt want to pay to wash them), ran out of toilet paper (and had to buy our own), and ran out of paper towels. I guess we were just unprepared for the out of pocket expenses.
