Built in 2014. Free Wifi thru-out villa, private pool, pool deck, grand lanai and verandas. Beautiful new built-in BBQ unit and countertops. When jyou arrive at Villa Joie De Vivre, you will experience a real “joy of living” that rejuvenates your senses and well-being. Drink it all in - the expansive down island views, deep blue Atlantic Ocean hues, the sound of waves washing up against our Peterborg peninsula, or breathing in the sweet, soft and virgin ocean air - you will truly feel at home. A typical morning will find you sipping coffee out on the grand lanai in shade and cool comfort with summer sun heat only a few feet away. You will smile and relax a lot as you view sensational island and ocean vistas of unique panoramic beauty. You may pleasantly observe the total absence of passing cars or traffic noise while relaxing to sounds of lazy ocean movements, fresh breezes and the brown pelicans, native parrots, morning doves, hummingbirds and other sea birds that frequently fly close by your treasured perch. Later, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool and sunbathe on a lounge chair on the large pool deck. Villa Joie de Vivre is framed by the Atlantic Ocean, exquisite and lush tropical plants, tree and fauna, and ancient bolder formations that make this beautiful and serene environment a must for you to experience. If you enjoy the full array of colors and mother nature, you are in tropical heaven with native Chinese Fan palms, flamenco and tropical plants, and extensive landscaping with Coconut and Sylvestrius palm trees, hundreds of bougainvillea plants in five different colors, vibrant allamanda, plumeria, ixora flowers, and a spectacular flowering Flamboyant tree.  
  
The villa has a total of four large, air-conditioned rooms, each with a ceiling fan. Three bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, king-size bed and ceiling fan. The fourth bedroom has a ceiling fan with two extra-long twin beds that seamlessly convert to a king. Spectacular island and ocean views abound in each room. The villa also is equipped with a big generator and automatic switchover.  
  
The Great Room has a gorgeous down island view framed by wall-to-wall sliding/screened doors, AC and opens to a wraparound veranda, 9-foot wide above the ocean and 14-foot wide veranda above the pool, both connected to 15'x15' grand lanai. Cypress tongue-in-groove ceiling with large white wood beams frame the vaulted ceiling.  
  
Expansive kitchen adjoins the Great Room with travertine countertops and custom built Cherry wood cabinets. Built-in appliances in kitchen are all top of the line GE products which include a wine refrigerator, double ovens and trash compactor, and a 4-burner gas stove top.  
  
Enjoy the unique large outdoor living space of Joie De Vivre with spacious decks for dining or poolside, and verandas and a grand lanai that are shaded and afford postcard views of ocean and islands.  
  
You are just a one-mile drive from famous Magen’s Bay, where snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing in one of the world’s most beautiful beaches are enjoyed year round. Several restaurants, Mahogany Run Golf Course or a zip line run are only five minutes by car, downtown Charlotte Amalie is a ten minute drive, and the ferry to St. John less than 20 minutes.  
  
Master Bedroom (King – Master 16’ X 15’):  
Located on the same level as the great room and main living area, the Master bedroom has a Pecan King bedroom suite with a large oriental rug, Ceiling fan with light, arched ceiling with cypress wood tongue and groove and large wood beams, in-beam lighting, two large clothing/shoe closets with mid and upper shelve storage (dimensions separate from room measure 5.5’ X 2.5’), and double glass door and windows that provide stunning down island views of Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke, Tortola, St. John and several smaller USVI and BVI cays and islands. AC Air-conditioning. Land-line telephone, internet - broadband hookup/Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations.  
Bathroom (15.5’ X 7’): Adjoins Master BR, with dual vanity sinks separated by 2 feet, walls decorated with paintings and full window. Large walk-in shower with travertine tile. Large linen closet with full sets of linens, bath and beach towels.  
  
Bedroom 2 ‘Azure’ (King 16’ X 15’):  
Same level as the pool and one level below main living area. Carbon copy of Master BR with matching dresser/mirrors and nightstands/lamps. Striking down island views of Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke and Tortola through sliding doors and several full windows. Ceiling fan with light, cypress wood tongue and groove ceiling with large wood beams, in-beam lighting, two large clothing/shoe closets with mid and upper shelve storage (dimensions separate from room measure 5.5’ X 2.5’). Air-conditioning. Staircase access. Land-line telephone, internet - broadband hookup/Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations.

Same level as the pool and one level below main living area. Large Poster Bed frame with matching dresser, nightstands & lamps. French doors and wall-to-wall windows provide magnificent down island views of Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke, Tortola, St. John and several smaller USVI and BVI cays and islands. Staircase access and AC. Beautiful paintings, wall decorations. Small mahogany Secretary desk. Ceiling fan with recessed ceiling lighting in cypress tongue and groove wood ceiling. Air-conditioning. Private balcony between Bedrooms 3 and 4, with expansive down island views and access from both rooms. Two full closets. Linens in laundry room just outside bedroom door. Land line telephone, internet - broadband hookup/Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations.  
Bathroom: Large single vanity sink and walk in shower. Dimensions 9’ X 10.5’ (includes shower dimensions of 6.5’ X 4.5’). One vanity sink, walls decorated with paintings. Beautiful Walk-in Shower. Three large screened windows. Adjoining Glass/Screen Door opens to a covered patio (dimensions 9’ X 12’) with chairs and table for morning coffee and evening cocktails.  
  
Bedroom 4 ‘Coral’ (2 Twins that convert to a King) (Dimensions 15’ X 15’):  
Bamboo headboard with matching nightstand and Armoire. Same level and pool is on the other side of house wall. Access to pool and outside stairs to veranda and main level is through one door and covered patio through other door. Land-line telephone, internet - broadband hookup/Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations. Small chest of drawers, corner desk and lamp. Recessed ceiling lighting in cypress tongue and groove wood ceiling. Ceiling fan and AC. Framed art and Caribbean artifacts adorn walls. Large bamboo bookcase. Large windows dominate two walls to provide magnificent down island views of the pool/deck, and numerous USVI and BVI cays and islands, including Hans Lollik, Tobagos, Joste Van Dyke, Tortola and St. John.  
No bathroom. Guests would use either the "Sage" bedroom bathroom or the main level powder room.

Beautiful home with spectacular water views in an ideal location. Quiet and residential, safe and secure, and well equipped. Lots of room to spread out, generous proportions of rooms, and modern bathrooms and kitchen. Would return to this property. Owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. #### Christmas / New Years Holiday 2024/2025

We were amazed and in awe of the scenery at our VRBO rental from the moment we pulled our rental car into the driveway. It will take you breath away. So awesome!! Everything in other reviews we have seen says it all. Our host was available and within a call/text within minutes at any time of day. Zero complaints, except we didn't want to leave, LOL. We would love to go again. We rented a car for the week at Paradise rental as our host suggested and it was well worth it. Everyone in our group of 7 loved the house and the breathtaking scenery from the veranda. We made dinner at the house a few times and it was a snap to find everything we needed to cook our meals. 10/10 review, I could go 20 out of 10 but I guess you can't beat perfection. Thanks again to our hosts. We can't thank you enough for making our holiday a wonderful time.

The house was simply spectacular. The location and view were unbeatable. We were simply thrilled with our stay. Totally out of the control of this house/listing/owner - the roads in the USVI are NO JOKE. The drive to first arrive at the house was a bit of a nail biter, but Katherine went above and beyond to guide us and NOT rely on our apple iPhones. Wisely and thankfully so! Communication was consistent and thoughtful. If I could give ten stars, I would do so.

We chose this beautiful home for it's ability to comfortably accommodate 7 of us for a homecoming/family reunion and it was perfect. Everything was clean and well stocked, beds comfortable and the pool refreshing. The host is amazing, staying in contact and answering all my questions. The photos just don’t do this property justice, it is simply breathtaking! The house is large and open and immaculately kept. The communication from the owner was fantastic from booking through our stay. My family of four had an amazing trip to St. Thomas with this property being the perfect home base for multiple adventures in the islands. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe, well kept, and in an ideal location! We will be coming back again, 5 stars!!

Our family absolutely loved this property! The views are nothing like we have ever seen before. Waking up every morning to the sunrise over the water was amazing. Fantastic Villa! Fantastic owners! Everything you expect, all where you expect it to be. Very communicative and attentive to our needs. Wonderful sunrises and views. Villa is great for entertaining and furnishings that accommodated a group of 8. Everything you would want or need for cooking, going to the beach or relaxing at the pool. Our stay was pure perfection! We were impressed with everything the house had to offer. From the amazing pool, the beautiful views, and the comfortable beds. The island had a power outage and we were fortunate to have a working home generator and solar panels. In addition, Katherine is amazing! She checked in every day and was so helpful. We are going home today after an amazing 9 day stay at Villa Joie de Vivre. To say that this is a luxurious villa would be an understatement. The villa has a million dollar view of the Caribbean that took our breath away every time we walked out on the lanai. The owner Katherine was so accommodating. We texted each other almost daily, many times just to tell her how much fun we were having. The villa is equipped with absolutely everything you will need to grill, go to the beach, to watch movies, play games, etc. Our entire family would give this property 5 stars without any hesitation. This property is phenomenal and Katherine our host went above and beyond to make sure everything was up to par. The property itself sat in a gated community where you always felt safe. We had all the amenities we could possibly ever need- often felt like I was at home. In addition, you had amazing views of Megan’s bay and the BVIs. Was close to many pristine beaches and Red Hook where you could catch the ferry over to St. John’s. In the future my family and myself would love to stay at Villa Joie de Vivre again and we would recommend it to anyone traveling to St. Thomas. #### Perfect house in paradise!

I can't say enough about this house and owner! The location is amazing and the house had everything you could ever want..from a well stocked kitchen to everything you need for your beach adventure. The views were amazing. We spent every evening out on the porch watching the moon illuminate the water and the sunrise every morning rising over Tortola in the distance. We have stayed in many VRBOs, but this is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The owner was very helpful and communicated with us prior to our arrival and even as we were on our way back home. We hope to be back soon!

Our stay in St Thomas at the Villa Joie de Vivre was an exquisite experience! Katherine was a lovely host from beginning to end. She helped us with our planning, gave us terrific recommendations and even checked in during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. We traveled with 3 couples for a week long stay in St Thomas. We all felt like we hit the VRBO jackpot! We have all stayed in other tropical VRBOs and this home was by far the best. Thank you so much Katherine! We can’t say enough about the Villa … the house was not only beautiful but very comfortable, well-appointed and the views are out of this world. We found the location to be perfect, so close to the gorgeous Magen’s Bay, and convenient to the other beaches we visited … Hull Bay, Lindquist Beach, Saphire Beach and the Red Hook area. Some of our trip highlights: -We loved being at the Villa … with the amazing sunrises, coffee and cocktails on the Lanai, the incredible views, Sunbathing and Moonlight bathing on the pool deck, neighborhood walks, cooking in for many meals. It just doesn’t get any better than this. Just Paradise! - We treated ourselves to the exquisite culinary delights of the private chef, Josh Fleagle, for two occasions (a drop off dinner and dinner prepared in home for us). -Beautiful beach days at Magen’s Bay … spacious, beautiful beach w/ lovely shady spots… great swimming (saw some turtles!) It never felt crowded. -Adventure to Lindquist Beach, another gorgeous beach, different vibe than Magen’s Bay, but we loved it. Loved the views of the islands from the beach. Very few people here, nice facilities, good snorkeling and great shade trees. -Hangin at Hull Bay for yet another fun beach day w/ a surfer vibe (including surfers). We had fun hopping between the beach and the very cute and clean beach bar area, Hideaway (loved the swings and dining area and the food from the Shack – great fish tacos) Beach is rocky in most spots so you have to be careful swimming here. -Day trip to St John w/ snorkeling at Francis Bay. We had the best snorkeling here! -We rented a car and taxied some. Thanks to Katherine’s recommendation for Samuel Dependable Services (very professional, friendly and prompt taxi service)

#### Great Stay and Beautiful Home and Views

We were a group of three couples and this was our first trip to St. Thomas, having stayed in St. Croix last year. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Joie de Vivre February 11-18, 2023. The views and sounds of the waves from the lanai and verandas of the home are absolutely breathtaking. The home is just a quick drive to Magen's Bay Beach. There are multiple beach chairs, coolers, pool towels, etc in the home for a day at the beach! The home was very clean and well supplied for anything you might need. The three main bedrooms are all e-suites and quite comfortable. Each bedroom has air conditioning but most nights, some of us chose to open the windows instead and listen to the waves crashing throughout the night. We have stayed at other VRBO properties and the owner, Katherine, has been one of the most engaged and communicative home owners. She offered us suggestions on things to do, helpful hints, and was quick to respond to any questions prior to our trip and checking in with via text during our stay. Katherine even provided us with the cruise ship docking schedule, offering us advice on where to go and where to avoid when the ships were docked. You can tell this is Katherine and Steve's home and it is well taken care of! We would highly recommend this home and you will love working with Katherine. We also want to thank Steve for his service-it is greatly appreciated. Thank you Katherine and Steve for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. A great time was had by our group.

The Villa is beautiful and location perfect overlooking Magen's Bay. Our family vacation was perfect and full of great memories. #### Amazing Trip to Paradise

We had an absolutely wonderful trip to this villa, and would highly recommend it to a big group or family. First, the location is amazing. The views from the lanai are unbeatable and the pictures on the listing truly don’t do it justice. It is also only a 5 minute drive to Magen’s Bay, which was by far our favorite beach on the island (and even better than beaches on St. John’s). Second, the property owner (Katherine) was amazing. She was super communicative ahead of the trip and made our stay extra special. She had a bottle of Prosecco and kids’ mineral sunscreen waiting for us upon arrival. She also provided a pack n’ play, highchair, and other essentials for our baby, which made it a lot easier traveling from Ohio. Lastly, we would highly recommend getting a private chef. We used William Corgan and he was truly exceptional. He curated a 5-star menu for our group and used a lot of fresh ingredients that he grew on his farm. It was one of the highlights of our entire stay, and Katherine helped us get in contact with him directly. There really were no negatives to our entire experience and we will definitely be back in the future. The only minor inconvenience was that there were no window treatments (shades or blinds) on 3 of the 4 bedrooms. So that made it a bit difficult for our little travelers, who woke up with the sun! We didn’t mind much though, because the views and sunrise were spectacular.
