Otherwise, I would definitely be going back. I had a wonderful time there. If you don’t have a car make sure you have Lenny of taxi money. It’s about $8 or more per person. Each of them were extraordinary in their service. The manager, Khadija went ABOVE AND BEYOND! She was amazing- informative and kind, with a quick smile and a genuine desire to ensure an excellent experience for all of her guests. Let me say again, the team was outstanding! There was only one person who was less than pleasant, Susan. She was not interested in helping, she did not smile and she did not make me feel welcomed. Fortunately, the positive disposition of those around her (the above mentioned team members) helped me to overlook her lack of enthusiasm and professionalism. Nonetheless, I would absolutely consider going back to this property. The amenities are nice, the beach is lovely and the on property restaurant serves good food. The staff at the bar were NOT friendly, but the food was still good- especially the prawns and the ahi tuna and the shrimp tacos. The room (dbl queen with balcony) was nice. My main complaint is that you can hear people in the neighboring rooms like they are in your own room. Also, lots of stairs and very hilly. This is probably true anywhere on the island, though. The rooms were very clean and accommodating. The only thing i recommend they get rid of are the Murphy beds. The staff made everything easy from the start. Check-in and check-out were very quick and smooth. Everyone we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. During our stay, the power went out due to the hurricane, but the hotel had a generator, so everything continued running without issue. That gave us a lot of peace of mind. I also requested an extra blanket, and it was delivered to our room within minutes. That kind of attentive service really stood out. Overall, the combination of efficient service, friendly staff, and reliable facilities made our stay very comfortable. And had a lot of places to go and eat very close. Amazing stay!! Loved it. We rented a car and beach hoped and the location was amazing. The car ferry is close too! St. John was awesome for a day too. The food onsite was delish and so was the food at red hook. We also bought groceries which was slick. We are already planning other visit back.
