I was expecting a better experience.

Posted 21-Feb-2017
In general, hotel was comfortable size. AC was not working properly. If it's on 61 degrees, it shouldn't have felt like 82 degrees. I was told I'd get a call about a possible room change and never did. Even if the phone call was to let me know there were no more rooms available, it would have shown better customer service to call back so I wasn't left to a 'guessing game'. Staff were averagely accommodating and gave me a fan AFTER I called to remind them about their suggestion. Additionally, phone buttons were missing on the hotel's phone and, on the same note, there was no guide for direct extensions for different departments within the hotel (I.e., Maintainence, room service, etc). Bathroom equipment needs to be replaced. One light switch wasn't working. I read I was getting a "balcony" but in actuality, I got a ledge with barely enough space to view an ALLEY WAY.

Nice hotel but disappointed with this stay.

Posted 21-Feb-2017
Pros: Being close in town.
Cons: The customer service, greeting the customer warmly and with a smile. calling the customer by name and Thank the customer for choosing them as a stay.
Check in was ok, however the receptionist had to wait about 15 minutes to find out if the room was ready at 6pm in the evening. The room had small roaches, the staff made noise in that utility room all night. They had no regard for the guest that was staying in the room next to it. The telephone was constantly ringing for 5 am and woke us up, when we answered no one was on the other line. I figured it was probably wake up call, however we didn't not request any wake up calls. At checkout the next day, the receptionist didn't even acknowledge us, or ask how was our stay, she just took the keys. This was a very disappointing stay and the service sucked!

I would stay there again!

Posted 20-Feb-2017
We booked this hotel last minute and it was overall a very good experience. Friendly staff, clean spacious room, close to ferry, restaurants, safari bus, and airport. We were hesitant at first to book due to some bad reviews on here but we are glad we ended up booking. They answered all our questions and made us feel confident in our hotel choices Before arriving the front desk staff upgraded us to an ocean suite!!! Beautiful view of the water and islands nearby. We would for sure go back and stay at this hotel!

Terrible Customer Service and Bugs

Posted 19-Feb-2017
Pros: The AC
Cons: Everything and I mean EVERYTHING
Location: Don't stay there.
It took 45 minutes to check in at 5 pm with only one couple in front of us. I paid extra for a king bed overlooking the Harbor and got two twins in the back of the property looking at garbage, I kid you not. Then I found a few bugs in the bathroom that I had to exterminate. The one good thing was that the AC worked great. I will not stay there again especially paying over $200 a night.

Close to town

We were there only one night before departing for St John's. Picked it because it was near town and reasonably priced. Beautiful courtyard area. Recommend not staying on waterside because of traffic noise if you want to sleep in.

Needs updating

Posted 13-Feb-2017
Pros: Location to the ferry terminal
Cons: Customer service training for the staff
With the exception on the bartender and one of the morning waitresses this place didn't care if you were alive. The most unfriendly staff I have ever seen in a hotel. too bad the choices are limited in St Thomas. Our party of 10 rented 5 rooms and all the rooms had issues. Some had no hot water and others had brown or rusty water. Find a hotel that deserves your money versus this dive.
