The pool is large enough to swim laps and play games and all enclosed in a private setting with beautiful jasmine greenery covering the tall privacy fence enclosing the back and side yards. My wife and I recently stayed one week at this truly amazing house. First, the location was incredible. We could walk to the beach, town, and park. However, with a golf cart provided, who needs to walk? The house itself was so comfortable and all on one floor making it perfect for elderly adults and children. In the backyard we found a large pool with attached whirlpool. There are plenty of lounge chairs and towels for the whole family. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a wonderful meal after a long day playing in St. Simons Island. We loved spending our time in the pool and hot tub. The beach is so close and it’s not too far to walk into town. Darlene is the BEST host! The first to inquire where to order the linens as they were the softest sheets I’ve ever slept on (organic bamboo - who knew)?! The second to make arrangements to come back next year! Our family has always vacationed on the Gulf, but my mother insisted we make a short trip to St. Simons en route. I had no idea how great this island was for both children and adults alike! The vacation house and Darlene were AWESOME! Super clean, all on one level (a must for small children and grandparents). Everyone loved the fun, beachy vibe this property gave us. It was well maintained inside and out! The nice, large pool was wonderful, and it was a beautiful neighborhood for walks - only a couple of blocks to the beach and downtown. To our surprise we were able to rent this property for Saturday through Monday. Checkin was 4 but I texted asking if we could get in early and yes we were able to get in the house at 2:30\.
