Didn’t know that there was no elevator and I am disabled with oxygen dependency, could barely lug my things up the stairs without the oxygen. Thank goodness a fellow vacationer saw my difficulties and helped me. Told it was best not to go to the beach because of turtle season. Weekend getaway for our anniversary. Pros-everything was really clean, location is seriously local to EVERYTHING, we rode our bikes pretty much everywhere. Pool and tiki bar area well kept and clean. Room was remodeled but only exception was the bathroom, that desperately needs some TLC. This hotel was built in the 60s or 70s, you can tell, so give it some grace. Cons-bed was rock hard, very limited parking for vehicle if you arrive late at night. The room was adequate. Not the best and not the worst. Only problem I really had was the staircase leading to the second floor. In my opinion it’s dangerous. The hand rails are made for a toddler to use I think because a normal adult couldn’t reach for them. It wouldn’t be so bad if the staircase went straight down but it was a winding staircase. Makes it very difficult to bring suitcases up or down. Pool was nice but closes at dark. No evening swimming.
