Quaint and comfortable inn. The owners are warm and friendly and could not be more accommodating. The breakfast is simple but the atmosphere begs you to talk with other travelers over your morning coffee. The location puts you within walking distance to a great choice of attractions and restaurants downtown while offering free off street parking for their guests.

This is a secret gem of a place for me: affordable; clean; free parking; close enough to the "pulse" of St. Petersburg nightlife. I discovered this place when I was trying to reserve a room for a business trip; now I will be sure to check with this hotel whenever I want to stay in St. Pete for vacation.

Older place, with some charm, but relatively small rooms. Very convenient location, including close to free trolley stop. Pretty good breakfast, and wine in the evenings was a nice touch. Guests tend to congregate in lobby area and talk, which was nice.

This hotel is privately owned, super clean, and very hospitable. Parking is ample. Walkable to town and dining. The hosts are friendly and helpful. They put out a generous continental breakfast each morning and keep it stocked, with good coffee too. In the evening a complimentary beer or wine. This brings the guests together and we found this to be a nice part of the stay. This is an older building, and well maintained. The rooms and adjoining bathrooms are small and relatively simple. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows. Table and two chairs and a small TV. I’m not used to the noise of wall AC units, which kept us from getting a solid nights sleep. That said, it kept the room temp comfortable and we slept much better the second night. If you are looking for glam, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for welcoming comfort with great access, I highly recommend The Inn on 3rd.

A quaint overnight. If you like historical, cozy, & extraordinary, you'll love it. As an inn since 1937, accomodations are on the small side but filled with inviting antiques & character at every turn. Guests are invited to mingle during happy hour & continental breakfast in the lobby area. If you want to step out of your comfort zone of the common big box hotel, this is it!

Don't expect a grand 5 star hotel experience. The Inn on Third is a simple, clean, comfortable hotel. No fancy thrills, but very nice staff and serviceable rooms.

Great Stay @ The Inn on Third
This is our 8th/9th time staying at The Inn on Third! We love staying here. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The Inn is always clean and our rooms are phenomenal. Every evening, they have social hour for all guests that are staying here. The location is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Will be returning to St. Petersburg and will always select The Inn on Third.

I came to St. Pete this weekend to attend a Comic-Con at the Coliseum and this Inn was right within walking distance and had great reviews, so I decided to book my stay here and I’m so glad I did! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Brian helped me when I first got there and him and his family were so nice, he told me a bunch about the area and was actually interested in why I was in town. Everyone I met took the time to talk to you and make sure your stay was going well, absolutely amazing costumer service! I am autistic and pretty introverted and I was staying here alone this weekend (my dad came with me, but he came along last minute so he had to stay at a different hotel farther away) so I was very nervous about staying at a hotel in a different state alone for the first time. But the friendliness of the staff and just the overall atmosphere made me feel comfortable staying here and I had a really great stay! It’s a very vintage style building which I thought was really cool, and it’s within walking distance of a ton of restaurants/fast food and things to do (the coliseum, pier, museums, parks, etc.). If you’re looking for a nice, quiet and “homey” place to stay for a weekend or longer with great staff, I definitely recommend booking a room here! I plan on attending next years Comic-Con and will definitely be coming back to stay here if I do!

The best place to stay in St. Petersburg
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Inn on Third. It is within easy walking distance of Central Avenue and two free trolleys. There is a generous breakfast of juice, coffee, cereal, muffins, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, and fruit. In the evenings, there is a social hour with wine and beer. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. In the lobby is a cute little sign that says the number of days until Santa arrives. We now have a sign here at home that says the number of days until our next arrival at The Inn on Third. We are looking forward to our next stay there!
