The Cottage is located in a quiet and idyllic residential neighbourhood of Clearwater North Beach. The beautiful, award-winning and pristine Gulf Beach is just steps away from the house. If you prefer to have a calm beach day away from the crowds this is where you want to stay. Clearwater Beach with its vibrant public beach life and diverse restaurants is just a mile away. The Cottage offers a spacious, elegant room with a queen bed, a sitting area with a sofa sleeper and a remodeled bathroom. The new kitchenette gives you the opportunity to prepare meals and enjoy them in the small dining area or outside on the secluded patio. Savour a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of wine after a relaxing day on the beach or enjoy a BBQ in the backyard. Clearwater North Beach is an upscale, safe residential neighborhood that welcomes families and couples. It is not suitable for 'spring breakers' or any group that wants an environment that allows loud parties. The area of Clearwater offers an astonishing diversity of leisure activities. If you enjoy sports you might want to try out the numerous jogging, skating, biking, golfing, hiking, swimming, surfing, tennis or fitness opportunities. In Florida's state parks and on the breathtaking beaches you will experience the beauty and serenity of nature. We take the safety of our guest and cleaning staff extremely seriously. Our cleaning crews are using sanitizer and disinfectant on all surfaces before your arrival and as cleaning is taking longer than previously it is unlikely that we can offer early check-ins or late checkouts. Our houses have well equipped kitchens and we believe that separate units are the best option for vacationing in the time of Covid-19. Florida is seeing an increase in cases at the moment and we stress the importance of guests taking travel insurance that would cover them in the event that they no longer want to travel to Florida. In the event that the administration halts vacation rentals we would of course refund guests as we could no longer accept them. The kitchen has everything that you need to make your own meals. We never bother to rent a car when we go to Clearwater a the walking and trolley are excellent there. The accommodations were cozy and just perfect for our party of two. Ryan and Amy were great hosts providing all kinds of information about the area, dining, and things to do. Bed was great, plenty of towels and all the things you need for the beach were provided. I think the best part was the location; we almost felt like we had the beach all to ourselves and if we wanted more entertainment it could be found just a mile down the road. I booked it because I was looking for quiet rest & relaxation and easy access to the beach, and that’s exactly what I got. (Though I did wind up in the busier part of Clearwater Beach at least once each day for a meal or drinks!) This property was clean and updated and the bed was super comfortable. We had a wonderful time! The beach is just across the street from the property, so it's super easy to access, and there are also beach chairs and umbrellas available. The property is also located in a neighborhood a little ways north of all the hotels and resorts, so it's great if you prefer a less crowded beach. The trade off to that is most of the shops and restaurants are also a bit further away, so you'll probably need to either take a long walk or drive to get to them. Even so, it's a short drive, so it's not too bad. If you're traveling to Clearwater Beach for a couples' vacation and you want to distance yourself a bit from the crowded parts of the beach, it's an overall great place to stay! ##### Josh O. The only issue we had was the contact information in the welcome book seemed to be incorrect. We were not able to contact the owner with the information provided. My husband and I have visited Florida (Atlantic beaches and the Keys) many times but have never been to Clearwater Beach. We finally got around to a trip there and The Cottage was perfect for us in every way. It is about a 30-minute drive from Tampa Airport, is literally steps from the beach, in a quiet residential neighborhood, and about a mile from restaurants and shops. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the patio and had drinks at night - no loud noise or parties - so relaxing. The interior of the cottage was 10/10 clean, very nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our stay including beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys for kids. If you have concerns about this being on the same property as the bigger house - don't. There was a young family in the bigger house when we arrived, and a new family arrived right before we left. We happened to cross paths and said cordial hellos but never heard or saw them again. The properties are close to each other, but the owners have done a great job of keeping them very separate, so you feel like you are in your own little piece of paradise.
